No opinions should change from a pep rally.
How engaging he is or how well he interacts with the students and boosters doesn't mean anything to me.
Win games and i'll have a different opinion.

One thing I'll say about that..Money is the life blood of College hoops... Basketball program has been hemorrhaging Money under program wrecker- not only was he a horrible coach- he sucked with media fans and boosters. And I'm not saying that's why Jimmy got the job, the man can coach. But it sure as hell wont hurt

Brian you are much too logical for this crowd. Winning on the court is the number 1 cure, but engaging the media, students, alums and fans also brings interest and money into the program. Patsos has proven he can do both at Loyola. Let's give him a chance to get the job done at Siena and try to stay positive.

But seriously - winning is the best cure-all, but if he can energize the students, fans, corporate base even before the winning really starts all the better.

Exactly – and I am very surprised at some of the negativity on this board. Give it a break and take your negativity someplace else. Siena fans have lived with the negativity the last 3 years- I for one am happy with the hire. Don’t bring me down man…. Not interested in a few posters ( who seldom post here) and their nasty comments – the sun is coming up today. Give Patsos a chance and you know what you might just like him. The TUC will be hopping this year with energy and passion – we know Jimmy plays a winning style. Key will be how he recruits—and my guess with Siena resources he hits some home runs… just chill boys relax and enjoy the ride

Should be a fun ride with Jimmy at the helm - nice touch having a "pep rally" to let him introduce himself to our students and get them interested early!

I think Jimmy will be a good hire- The negativty on the board does not surprise me- Some of the bloggers on the board just like to complain- They are the types that if they were given a suitcase with a million dollars they would complain about the suitcase - I think the whole Siena comunity should welcome the new coach and Look forward to some successfull seasons

I'm enjoying your positive energy. This is like reading an exciting chapter in a book. I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. I think between Jimmy's energy and personality AND the new facility to be built on campus, that recruiting is going to be really really good in the next two years. This guy has personality plus and with this type of ammo to use to help sell the program, I'm extremely optimistic. This guy can sell and recruit! Tony's right, the TU is going to be jumping. I hope to see you all there.
