Agree, great news. Would still like a proven 3-pt shooter. Do we have any?

Shoats was a multi-sport standout at Holy Redeemer in Wilkes Barre, same high school as Owen Wignot.
Was also competing in track & field at Lock Haven.

Welcome Justice.
Looks like a good pickup. Love his ability to penetrate but the 20% 3 Pt shooting is a concern. Ideally he is surrounded by good shooters that he can kick out to when he penetrates and the D collapses.

HJ gets his wish and we sign a good D2 kid. I like that Gerry is using D1 portal, D2 portal, Juco and traditional HS kids. The mix is a good thing and as Goldsaint says when these covid kids clear through the system after this year coaches will not be able solely portal
And we now have more scholarship players than we did all of last season

Why has this announcement been deleted? Maybe Almonor is pissed at MTS and is spreading the word?

Why has this announcement been deleted? Maybe Almonor is pissed at MTS and is spreading the word? Well he’s probably pissed they had to get restraining orders and they aren’t even enrolled yet

Justice Shoats always believed he had the ability to play basketball at the NCAA Division I level. The former Holy Redeemer star will have the opportunity to see if he is right.
Shoats, who recently finished his sophomore season at Division II Lock Haven University, entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Tuesday afternoon.
Not long after, his phone started to buzz with text messages and calls from Division I basketball coaches from across the country. He has also received interest from Division II schools, but Shoats said the end game is to get to the Division I level.
“When I was talking with my coach, I told him I would probably have to reach out to schools,” Shoats said. “He told me everyone would contact me. I was laughing. It was no joke. As soon as I got the email telling me I was in the portal, four or five coaches started following me on (X, formerly known as Twitter). They were asking how to contact me. It is definitely fun. It was a hectic first day.”
Shoats, who also played running back for the Lock Haven football team, said he thought about transferring after his freshman basketball season. After Lock Haven’s point guard was injured this season, Shoats saw his playing time and scoring numbers increase, and that spurred his decision to hit the portal. Trending Stories

“I didn’t feel I had the right numbers my freshman season,” Shoats said. “My sophomore year, I got my opportunity. I contributed a good amount my freshman year, about 20 minutes per game. ... When our point guard got hurt, there were a lot of minutes to be filled.”
Shoats led Lock Haven in minutes per game this season with 37.4 and was also the team’s top scorer, averaging 20.4 points per game. He started all 29 games.
Shoats said he has heard from Siena, Northern Kentucky, Marshall, South Alabama, Northeastern, North Dakota State, Drake, Mercer and Kent State, just to name a few. He estimates there have been about 16 Division I schools that reached out to him within the first 24 hours after entering the portal.
“Basically, I am going through the recruiting process,” Shoats said. “I’m going to try and cut it down to five and get a feel for what fits me. Then I’ll go on visits.”
During his time at Holy Redeemer, Shoats was a three-sport start in basketball, track and football. He played football during his freshman season before stepping away from the game and returning for his senior season. On the basketball court, he scored more than 1,500 points and was second-team all-state in his senior year.

There was a time when the Board was to inform fans now it is used to confuse them. Is Justice committed to Siena . He looks like a winner.
A little request for the new coach. I love how you are building the roster. How about an info board fot serious fans. All facts. No inside jokes. No personal attacks. No deceptive stuff. This current sequence confuses me.
