Other than Ojo, why keep the freshmen? I had high hopes for Smith, but he had plenty of chances to show that he was D1 and MC produced way more. Because we all know that Carm cannot coach, Nor can he develop a players skills! In fact the skills of anyyone that plays for Carm are more than likely to regress than improve. I think the Freshman have some potential. Ojo is pretty much what you want at the 4 position these days. He can spread the floor but also mix it up inside and defend multiple positions. Frazier is very light on his feet and seems to have good shot blocking instincts. He needs to get stronger but he’s a worthwhile project in the MAAC. Smith looks the part and moves well on the floor but his confidence is visibly shaken unfortunately. Hopefully he gets his confidence back because I think he can be a contributor at this level.

I know some of you think the entire roster is D2 talent. Given the results in the W/L column the argument can be made. I do think this team has workable talent and should not be at 4 wins. Ojo can play. Frazier is raw but has tons of upside. Courtney can be a contributor off the bench. Gio is a man among boys. SD and Eley can shoot, make their own shot and get to the rim. Evbagharu is big 2G. I'd have him posting up the opposing guard anytime they go man. Our biggest need is a real, press breaking, pass-making PG.
I'm not saying they should win the MAAC but no way these guys should be 4-25. That is all on Carm. The similarities to Beyer's last year are striking. If we can get another Hewitt (aka good coach) I bet these guys look WAY better.

You would have thought Max Frazier would receive more time to hone his skills in game time play.I see a lot of good things in his game, height length shot blocking ability in the little time he's played. Two games ago he had 7pts in 7min. and next game did not see the light of day, Carm's ability to coach up a player is non existent! GO SAINTS!!
