S71 - I think you'll have plenty of good seats to chose from. Unfortunately.

The early renewal for Season ticket holders has usually started by now in previous years. Pretty strange that tbey have not given the fight there going to be in retain people. Maybe they want to wait for the dust to settle and everyone calm down before offering.

I suspect that anyone hoping for a reduction in season ticket prices if Carm comes back are in for a big disappointment. It seems more likely that they are waiting to push season ticket sales until after the season since they will likely have to up the prices if they bring in a new coach. If Carm comes back they may stay the same.

FYI - John did provide a cordial reply to my email. There's not much he can say (publicly) at this point. He did agree that nobody is happy with where the program is at this point. That doesn't imply any specific action but at least they are aware there's a problem.

Unfortunately is looks like Carm will be back if he is off doing recruiting trips now: Would have been nice if he and his staff recruited like that for last 3 years. It wouldn’t have put us where we are today.

It wouldn’t have put us where we are today. The fact he’s recruiting isn’t evidence that he’ll be back imo. He has to keep recruiting to show the admin he’s trying and to argue the team will be better next year.

Also, if he is going to be canned I'm sure they haven't mentioned that just yet. If you're going to do that, you need to just remove the guy mid-season. You can't have him half doing the job. I don't think the fact that he's actively recruiting is an indicator of anything definitive. That said, I wouldn't be surprised regardless of how this plays out.

Going 4-23 is a disaster but is 15-14 and 17-15 and one and done losing in the MAAC tournament OK? Because that’s what happened the two seasons before this one. If we go 17-15 next year is everything fine again?

Unfortunately is looks like Carm will be back if he is off doing recruiting trips now: Good to see he was in Dallas and not Austin trying to re-recruit JoJo Moore.

From an article in burner ball by @trillydonovan this past summer: As for off-season recruiting, Maciariello doesn’t change his tune. “No one on my staff went out this period. I went out one day. My players, my community and our families are more important.” I get that Carm has a young family, but you don’t sign up for this coaching gig @ $400k+ and then not put in the ‘boots on the ground’ recruiting effort that is required for success.

Every game shows the effort Carm and staff put in last year. Could you imagine hiring this guy as a department head and this is the crap excuse he brings when his department is failing?

So let’s evaluate this statement….” My players, my community and our families are more important.” - His players act like they can’t stand him. - His community wants him fired. - He hopefully will have all the time in the world to spend with his family, in a couple of weeks. So how did that approach work out for you Carm??
