UMASS is going to the Mid American Conference for all sports in 25-26. If the A-10 adds another school the thought is they’ll add College of Charleston.

I don't think UMass will be the last exit from the A10. Watch VCU and Dayton, possibly St. Louis. Think C of Charleston has been targeted to expand south with Davidson, but there is a much better geographical fit to backfill UMass. Maybe another school in the northeast, that owns it market? Hum.....

Makes sense as the MAC is a football conference and UMASS has been focusing on building their football program.

Hum..... I’ve always felt that UMASS leaving the A-10 would be Siena’s “easiest” and most logical path to that conference. Geographically similar for travel expenses, new media market and except for a good sized portion of the last decade, pretty competitive, as well. Unfortunately, now it would have to be based on the program, and its diminishing strengths, not our recent success. Still feel, with the inevitable realignment of the mid/low major schools, it could result in a more interesting group than the current MAAC. This obviously assumes mid/low majors will have a seat at the table (might be the kids’ table, though). What a mess.
