The apologists need to explain the last 6 games of the '22-'23 year. I guess we're in a position now where any loss under 10 points is a positive. Thats a losers mentality, and hard to shake. 3-25 is simply not acceptable, especially in a conference as weak as the MAAC.
Carm cant/wont deal with the new landscape of college basketball. Not using the 2 open scholarships, and letting Owens graduate without playing a minute in his career are two arrogant, and horrendous moves. Those 3 spots should be filled with 5th year guys, and 2 of them should be point guards.

Injuries haven't been a big factor. Keep in mind SD wasn't getting the waiver...Carm lucked into that because of a lawsuit. Ojo getting hurt wasn't good but he wasn't part of the rotation really. Eley getting hurt is bad but he was only out for a few games. Good coaches win. Period. We are not only losing but we're generally losing big.

I don't have time to look it up but "only out for a few games" doesn't sound right. Between the ankle problem sustained in the first game and the more recent hamstring problem he has missed more than a few games and been ineffective in a couple of games when he tried to play hurt. I guess the use of mis/dis info is not restricted to political narratives but is used in every arena to bolster one's arguments.

The comments from JUCO Advocate ("Coach Carm is on the right guys, has the right plan, and is the right coach to navigate this wild new world.") may reflect the fact that we recently offered a number of JUCO point guards (and hosted an official visit by at least one) that could fill an obvious need, albeit a year too late.

If he didn’t leave scholarships open every year the injuries, which ALWAYS happen, wouldn’t be as bad…and if there was quality depth they could be overcome. So either way, Carm has to take the hit.

No doubt its a factor, but when you purposely dont use 3 scholarships to improve the talent on your team, you get zero sympathy.

You are preaching to the choir, you have the means to turn this into a musical that embarrasses the administration into stop the bleeding. Whatever it takes.
