Some pretty competitive losses there outside of Fairfield. is that fair on the Stags though, who just lost their coach a few weeks ago and a key player leaving under those circumstances................. When it rains it pours: 11/3 Fairfield University announced today that James Johns, Sr., Assistant Men's Basketball Coach is stepping down from his position. Coach Johns joined Fairfield to support player recruitment and cultivation for which he made substantive contributions in his two years with the program. |

It was not intended as a slam towards Fairfield, we expect MAAC schools to regularly lose by 19 to Power 5 schools. Was more a statement of the other three teams staying competitive against some pretty good teams. |
