Can the UAlbany program get any lower? With key players leaving from a last-place team, where are the pieces to build upon? How long can they continue to support a coach who hasn't shown any promise of developing the program?

One more year or they pay him a lot and they look bad after not firing him last year

Where are the obligatory posts saying U A will have a full roster before Siena does?

If they allow him to perform like his crappy football HC counterpart he won't be going any where soon. UA men's sports have not been very successful lately.

I was fully expecting UAlbany would elevate its program and join the CAA for all sports. Isn't that what Stony Brook did? To see them in the gutter is depressing.

It’s a shame Australia wouldn’t renew Will Brown’s visa … jk … but once the Aussie pipeline dried up so did their success … much better having two competitive programs in Cap District

Brought my kids to a ton of UA games as pricing was right for a family game. My kids still talk about this one. I'd consider season tickets if UA moved to the CAA.

MAAC finished ahead of the CAA this year in the Sagarin despite the CAA having Charleston and Hofstra. George Mason, VCU, Old Dominion all gone. Is not the same CAA of 10 years ago that was so good. Ton of terrible teams in there now. Is a step up from the America East but not that big of one and they would be giving up regional rivalries to go there.

It was a boneheaded move. The AD is killing the football program too by keeping Gatuso. He’s about as bad an AD as DArg.

MAAC @ 23 and CAA @ 24 is nothing to brag about, both conferences had a bad year & both have there share of deadwood.

Just a few years ago they culminated 5-6 straight years in the NCAA with a trip to the Final Four. Haven't returned since. And oddly, this is with the same coach. We were told a few years ago right on this board how they would displace us as the BB team in the CD. With the students and state resources they have, you would think that should be a no brainer.
