Lol, nothing Burger. He's done his suspension and paid his fine. This is just window dressing for the suits against him and the university.

At the very least it is a big distraction, but given the slowness of the justice system, any trial would be after the basketball season. I could see a plea deal, but that wouldn't look good for the civil case.

They would only charge if they felt there was a crime, no?

The facts of the case don't seem to be in dispute. I believe witness testimony verifies the assault and Killings may have even admitted his actions. So indictment seems clear cut.

You stated a plea deal wouldn't look good for the civil case - not in direct response to any other post so I assumed that was your opinion. I merely asked what you were implying for clarification. Thanks for that clarification.

This is just window dressing for the suits against him and the university. um, that suspension was totally bogus, as UA allowed him to coach the game vs Siena and he hadn't finished the 5 game penalty.........just ridiculous, that AD has got to take a ton of heat for this debacle............

Maybe when he’s convicted and might have to serve jail time YA might decide to fire him.
Or after all the negative press associated with it regardless if he’s found guilty or not. 🙂

Are they still there now?

I almost wonder if the indictment, even though they did a sham review internally and didnt fire him when they should have, if the indictment gives them an out along with the record and steep decline of this program. Will be interesting, follow the portal like another poster said and we shall see.

A lawyer told me the indictment didn’t have any new facts from the original discipline case so it’s hard to go back and fire him now for that. Performance on the court however and if a lot of kids transfer that could hurt. Although kids transfer in droves foem all schools including Siena so let’s see how this plays out .
