There isn't a whole lot they should be punishing him for. I keep realizing most of you don't know what "innocent until proven guilty" means.

only sitting the 1st half of their NCAA game? ?.................really Matt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kid hasn't been convicted of anything. There isn't a whole lot they should be punishing him for. I keep realizing most of you don't know what "innocent until proven guilty" means. here's a thought, and by no means was he convicted of anything..........but from media reports he was at a party and as follows.......... "Harrisonburg police say Goins was arrested Sunday on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing justice. Police say they were called to break up a party early Sunday morning and Goins was shouting obscenities at them and "enticing the crowd" before leaving with acquaintances".....................certainly the old adage kids will be kids and they are allowed to have "fun" at college, but he also has to understand the situations and surroundings, and what not to get involved with.................the fact that he was a bit over the edge with the shouting obscenities and revving up the crowd is quite irresponsible on his behalf................so the actions warrant some sort of discipline no matter what stature of the player, but how about 1 full game, it's almost like they look sideways on the whole affair by still allowing him to participate............that sends a clear message, sometimes it is hard to do the right thing, but that is society today overall, oh well to each his own!!!!!!!!!

I guess what my point was, is that sometimes a coaches hands are ties, too. Blaming Brady for not doing enough to discipline a player might not be fair. Players have sued over being punished when they are convicted. Maybe the AD or president limited Matt's options.

The standard for determining guilt or innocence in the court room isn't the same standard most of us use outside the courtroom. I know my parents basically felt you were guilty unt you proved you were innocent! Lol.

I know what you're saying, but universities have rules they have to follow a little more closely than your parents did.

Too many lawsuits over too many years. It's unfortunate in a way that the kid is a senior and if he is convicted, it will be too late for Matt to discipline him.

Not a great decision on the kid's part, he knows he has a tournament coming up in a few days. I know he probably wasn't 100% sober and mob mentality can take over, but the rest of the team can't be too happy with him.

Maybe he is one of the reasons they have had a crappy season - one bad apple can spoil the ........ Good numbers but obvious baggage. Wonder if any of his teammates were there, likely not but if so, wonder why they didn't step forward and shut him up.

I don't think it was as serious as some are making it if police let him leave with his friends. It's not like he got locked up.

I say he'll be in the game before the 10 minute mark if JMU falls behind by double digits.

Brady's style of play is fun to watch. Don't be harsh with Goins after all everybody forgave an S U high price shoplifter.
