what's the feeling on him............not so much him selling his soult to the devil, wink wink..............but in that his Kentucky team has really struggled this year and he has a lot of talent.............IMHO, I believe it has been more the players he has had at his various stops in college that have "made his pay day", rather than his ability to coach...............more or less, he rolls the basketball out on the floor and his pro-caliber players have carried him to success...........he would not be in my top 10 list of coaches with regards to x's & o's , but with recruiting/evaluation of talent though he is pretty much at or near the top of the food chain in that dept!!!!!!!!!

Most likely he pays these players under the table after they leave the college.

He's left a path of destruction everywhere he's coached. It's a shame Kentucky sold its proud tradition to the devil for this coach. It's just a matter of time before that program faces a similar fate.

I would think 90% is high. His salary was raised to over $5 million last year. Number one pick wage scale is $4 million and change, so I doubt he's ever had 11 number one picks on any one single team.

Camby has made that. Rose has, Wall will, Cousins, Evans, Bledsoe. Even the NBA "average" player makes over $4million a year. You can't really just look at a rookie salary.

You named six guys. Average NBA career is 5 years, average salary is $5 million. I would bet not even 90% of his players even make an NBA roster at some point. Just saying 90% is high, and even if it wasn't, the players might not need his money after they leave college, they do while they're in college.

I'm not going to sit here and name every one of his players, where they played, and what they made. He hasn't been making huge money that long either, I probably over estimated his total. And my original post was a response to someone saying he pays them AFTER college.

According to wikipedia, he's had 28 NBA players. Who knows how many overseas pros. Most of his players make excellent money, maybe not more than him lifetime, but I'd still say 90% don't need his money.

It was sweet watching his team humiliated by Robert Morris. Reminded me of the year Georgia Tech having to come here for the NIT when Bobby Cremmins was the coach. They didn't have any heart in the game and we beat them in front of a packed, raucous arena.

Whatever it is, he's always been a crook. He greases kids BEFORE they come for sure. It's his way. The Kentucky way. Glad to see him get humiliated in his hometown.
Maybe he should do another ESPN special kissing his programs a$$?
