Any surprises from players. Who looked good
I agree with Hankla regarding improvement noted with the returning So & JRs.
Jackson was almost automatic from 3.
Valencia improved upon her freshman season. She has potential to be one of the Siena greats. I love her work ethic.
I was very impressed with Hannah Finnerty. She’s able to do lots of things, active on both offense and defense.
I can’t remember all the women who ran the point , I want to say 4 or 5 ran it in scrimmage (London Gamble, Angel Jones, Brodie McCann) Each bringing a slightly different style/problem for opposing teams.
London can drive to the hoop seemingly at will.
I tell you what, I know Rylee Carpenter is a walk-on but if she enters the game and is open; she “is” automatic from 3!!!
I know I saw positive things for Savannah Wilson but I forgot what it was. She or Elisa Mevius (I forget which one) was disruptive on defense (steals).
Elisa Mevius seems very skilled to me (dribbling, passing open court vision, etc).
It was only a scrimmage but I think we can be very deep and have options this year.
Once we start clicking, I think we’re going to be really good.
I agree w/coach, the women seem to get along really well, no hanging their heads during coaching teaching moments (coach stoppage during scrimmage to explain things and teachers BG where to be, what to do or not do, etc).
I think this is going to be a fun season and who knows we could peak at the right time and maybe make some noise in the MAAC Tournament.
