Rog is a douchebag ! Why are you picking on douchebags? They have enough baggage without being tagged with a Wyland. Face it, Wyland makes every effort to give a**holes a bad name!

If it wasn't for Rodgers job as a local sportscaster and being married to a Siena grad he would constantly hammer Siena because of his spite at being dropped as Siena's radio broadcaster years ago. He carries himself with the Penn State arrogance.

How can anyone complain about the fans att he games? I thought Mitch was treated with kid gloves all season! I rarely heard any booing at all from the fans towards Mitch. We were all thinking about it, but stayed classy.
I remember Beyer and Lanier getting KILLED by the fans!! Maybe because Mitch was part of the great run with fran peole treated him differently!? (this is where Soup/Sienadan calls us all racist).

Now be nice, how many guys can score with a wench like Kelly Lynch in the back seat of their car on a dead end of North Pearl Street, or wait, was it the Sutters parking lot? Doesn't matter, he is low class. Come on, man. There's no need for anything like that. Your post is just as inappropriate as Rodger was during the interview.

It's like Rodger is trying to be Barbara Walters with digging into all the deep emotional feelings - its nauseating! Agreed though Mitch handled it well but since he is still under contract with Siena he darned well better.....

Roger chooses to think UA is above all that win to earn your paycheck stuff And by the looks of it...the piece of shi* TU who sold their souls to Siena sat on their hands as Mitch burned your program down but had no problem going after Brown. It's all a matter of perspective. Rodger isn't the most objective source but then neither is the TU who continually covers your ass. Hell, they went after you the fans and still said nothing about Mitch burning your house down. Think about that!

HJ and Click -
You're both right. A) The TU treats Siena differently (as does Roger) and B) the fans learned from the Lanier and Beyer era - they didn't boo or jeer...they just didn't go. I'm sorry that Mitch's wife had to listen to comments in the stands but really and truly what would one expect? Your spouse is losing in bucketfulls. You can't expect a lot of positive comments.
ClickClack - You guys may win on Saturday. Good luck to you. My 2 cents - I think Will B is not the coach to get you guys where you want to be but it'll be tough to fire him (think Dave Maggarity at Marist). You may be better served with an "L" but that's tough to swallow, I now.

Have to wonder who would give Mitch a 4 year guaranteed contract. Especially since he had no other options . It was well known Mitch was a risk when he was hired. For such a so called “well-respected” coach, he ran Fairfield into ground got fired, went to Texas A&M and helped Barone run them into ground, got fired went with Rollie to Cleveland state and ran them into ground got fired. Couldn’t get anyone to hire him ended up with Fran at UNCG a low major where he was 500.. went to Siena with Fran… where basically only sustained success he had in his career ( post shot clock and 3 point shot) so what in that resume would lead any competent person to believe he was worthy of a 4 year guaranteed contract . Explains why Mitch wasn’t fired after 1st year. Not only did Siena screw up hiring Mitch, Siena got bent over the railing when they gave Mitch a 4 year guaranteed contract

Tony - I think 4 years is standard...if nothing else to maintain recruiting. Otherwise the other coaches use it as a hammer.

We should have offered him a 2-year max "trial", so we could end it sooner. Take it or leave it. Connecticut gave Kevin Ollie a 1-year deal while he proved himself.

It could have been four years, but not four guaranteed years. Mitch was not in any bargaining position to dictate terms, he would have jumped at anything AD threw at him.
