Another tough loss for the Saints as they gave up 59 but could only put up 49. I have seen a lot of college basketball games over the years, but not sure I have seen one where a team doesn't shoot a single free throw. That's right, not one. Duquesne was 11-12 from the line and Siena was 0-0. Turnovers are never good but are killers at crucial times during the game. Siena had 26 turnovers, but quite a few were lackadaisical passes to players that were one pass away; which are unacceptable. Three point shooting is still an issue at 3-16 (18.8%) - which becomes an even bigger issue when you are not getting to the line. Defensively they played pretty solid. They did seem to give up too many points when hedging the high ball screen. After doing a nice job hedging, the player did not get back in time to cover their opponent rolling to the hoop, and there was no help rotation on the back end. They are almost there and Coach Jabir will get them ready for when MAAC play begins. The kids need to stay positive. They need to think that "there are two types of basketball players: Siena players and those who wish they were". Then they need to play like it.

Listened to game on radio … thought I heard Siena is the “worst” shooting team in the country … if you saw the pre-season game you could see they could shoot … hope they shake this soon
