1. Dave Paulsen, 48
Pros: Has local connections, plays uptempo and proven winner
Cons: Will be tough to get and rebuilds slowly
2. Andy Toole, 32
Pros: Very successful at RMU in 3 years could be another Brad Stevens
Cons: Very young, could jump quickly
3. Brett Reed, 40
Pros: Successful coach and already has won an NCAA game
Cons: Might be able to get a BCS job with his resume
4. Joe Dooley, 47
Pros: Has been a HC at East Carolina with winning record, BCS experience
Away: Hasn't been a HC in a while
5. Anthony Evans, 41
Pros: Wins at a tough place, NY State connections
Cons: Major jump from the MEAC
6. Jeff Neubauer, 42
Pros: Knows the MAAC playing at LaSalle
Cons: Career record not great
7. Jimmy Patsos, 46
Pros: Knows Siena/MAAC and won at a program nobody has
Cons: Talented team was inconsistent in MAAC this year
8. Darrin Horn, 40
Pros: Won big at Western Kentucky, a very good mid-major
Cons: Lack of Northeast connections
9. Richard Pitino, 30
Pros: Recruiting connections, bloodlines
Cons: Age and might not last three seasons
10. Steve Pikiell, 43
Pros: Build-up the Stony Brook program from the ground up
Cons: Hasn't made the NCAA tournament yet, might not jump
Warren, Coen and who knows maybe even Seth Greenberg could be in the mix but these are the top 10 I'd like Siena to focus on who are realistic and attainable.
D'Arg didn't rule out a non-head coach but I certainly would rather they go with someone who's been in the first chair and who currently is a successful D1 head coach. I would guess the coach is announced before they go off to the Final Four (April 1st-5th in that range)
