No AD on the planet would hire a coach from the very same school they just hired the last one from.
That's some D'Arg logic. Hey maybe there's a mediocre coach from within the conference they can inexplicably offer a promotion to?

Iona fans have Siena and Iona going to a revamped A-10. So no reason to accept an a-10 job. ;-) I read that also! The way they always insult us and/or make fun of us about not being from "the big city", I was surprised they said something positive. What do you know!

He effed up bigly. Could've won at Siena over the four years and then got a BCS job. Oh well. Had more to do with the mother of his child not liking the distance between him and his son. Was making over a million a year, and will get paid that next year. He had to take the job when offered. More could be said about why GW would hire him. Look like him to end up as an assistant coach at a P5 spot. Also be interesting where his assistants end up. Jamion couldn’t keep kid them at GW, and he lost a few assistants and burnt some bridges in the DMV.

Bottom line is you have to win and JC did not do that at GW:
Season School Conf G W L W-L% SRS SOS 2019-20 George Washington A-10 32 12 20 .375 -3.99 0.92 2020-21 George Washington A-10 17 5 12 .294 -5.75 -1.57 2021-22 George Washington A-10 30 12 18 .400 -3.90 0.5
Not a good performance any way you look at it.

He'll land on his feet as an assistant in a big conference. Lanier and Beyer both got assistant jobs that paid them more then the HC job at Siena did.
Probably got 4 million from GW. That should be a nice start for a good life.

That should be a nice start for a good life. He's never been an assistant at a HM... Lanier was at Rutgers and Texas before Siena. Beyer had one year at Wisconsin. Could see him at Marquette with his buddie Shaka.
