OD with 3 fouls. Saints with 21 points at the half. Yeah, sounds about right.

Thank God this disaster will be over Friday at about 9:30pm (Marist will beat us)... and then the turk comes for Mitch a couple days later.

Truly ugly. I feel so bad for the players having to play for this guy. There is absolutely no way to gauge what kind of talent is on this team. You can even see the pity from the Iona players; or perhaps it's gratitude. They seem to want to give Evan a hug every time he falls down.
How embarrassing for this program.

My first post under this ID but am former member When Mitch could not play .500 in the MAAC with POY Rossiter I knew it was over, and I said so.
I had a real job and I knew if I performed the way that the Siena coach and possibly the Admin had performed I would have been let go. I had season tickets for over 20 years and let them go.
Lose to Marist on your home court. so what? A few Years ago that would have been totally unacceptable.
I do believe things will get better. but
We were at the the top, my wife and I traveled to Florida, Ohio and Spokane to follow the Saints. We followed the Siena Bus to the auditorium for the First round of NCAA behind the police escort. Wow how great it was. We stayed in the same hotel as Ohio State and at 1 am we looked out the window of our room and saw the Ohio State team getting onto their bus, still in their sweats, going back to Columbus. A great sight, our team stayed for the second round. Double Onions.................
I don't expect the March Madness every year, but being 8,9 or 10 in the MAAC is awful.
I am listening on the radio and Siena has just "pulled to within 13" great
This is so disappointing. I know we are not Gonzaga, but it sure was nice when we were mentioned in the same breath as Gonzaga and Butler.
I do not think that most people realize how really bad this last 3 years has been. Next year lets keep Mitch and play in Gibbons Hall (wrong name) maybe we could schedule Saint Rose.
Still listening, the guys are playing hard. Who knows we could make some noise in the tournament, if we do, it is because of the Players and In Spite of the coaching.

It's a good thing Siena doesn't score that many baskets; otherwise they would be out of timeouts by now.

Be careful Misspractice will tell you everyone thought Mitch was a home run hire and Siena couldn't can him after first year... that's the problem with this program -- not only the admin but many of the so called fans dont know a shitty coach from their elbow. Most understood the reasoning for taking a chance on Mitch.. they never got if you are going to take a chance on him-- you better be prepared to fire him after a year-- if you're not he should never have been hired. Mitch was always a very risky hire.. Darg or Fr kevin never "got that" hopefully Fr Kevin does now As anyone ever got as much mileage out of being an assistant coach for national championship as Mitch? He parleyed that into the Fairfield job, where he ran the Stags into the ground, with his poor coaching and piss poor recruiting after getting fired at FF Mitch went to Texes A&M where he helped Tony Barone run that program into ground, Mitch was fired year before Barone was and landed with Rollie where Mitch helped Rollie run Cleveland state into the ground and after getting Fired at Clev State landed with Fran at UNCG ..a low major—if Mitch was that “well respected” think he could have landed something better of course came here with Fran and not only bullshitted his way into head coaching gig, he managed to run his second MAAC program into the ground -all the while pulling the rug over many of your eyes saying his past record didn’t matter..LOL… funny part is you still have whacks defending Mitch’s 1st two years here.. The man will leave Siena owning just about every losing record possible in a 3 year period

Throw your shit all you want but don't make it up! Go back and read the post - I was saying why Siena wasn't going to fire him then!

We have many problems to right going into next season. Coach, no point guard, no 6' 3" shooting guards that can create, no athletic wing. I do not like how we have recruited at all over the past few years. We're in BIG trouble!

dude you were defending his 1st two years today. Mitch was always a very risky hire given his horrible ( it wasn't even so -so ) he had a horrible background. Even though I didn't agree with the hire I understood the reasoning, hoping he learned his lessons and going for continuity- at end of first year it was apparent Mitch wasn't the answer-- Siena had to be prepared to pull plug on Mitch.. he wasn't a normal hire.. he was a risky hire-- a coach that already ran one MAAC program into the ground. I know you were trying to be a good fan and toe the company line-- but please give it up. Mitch was a total disaster, he will go down as the worst coach in Siena history -- which is saying something when we had Bob beyer here for 3 years
