I thought I read somewhere that post season games count in the stats-- is your understanding different?

I believe postseason stats are kept in some different category than regular-season stats. Does anyone else know?

I'm fairly certain that you have to include post season stats. Here is a wikipedia article that shows the historical rebounding leaders of the NCAA. Following that is a link that shows that the number of games includes the post season. I looked up Morehead state and Friend's total includes post season conference and NCAA tournament games as well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NCAA_Division_I_men's_basketball_season_rebounding_leaders espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/2561/year/2012/siena-saintsOne thing that strikes me is if OD wins with less than 12.0, he will have won with the lowest average in the Division 1 era. This is not to diminish OD's accomplish but to provide further evidence of the declining talent in the NCAA. As the NCAA adds more and more teams to Division 1, the talent pool has been bloated with lesser quality players. Scoring is down, rebounding is down, everything is down..... the NCAA has reached its saturation point and must consider doing something to reverse this trend. Look at Fairfield and Manhattan --34-31 that's disgusting. I would recommend closing entry to Division 1 and setting criteria to whittle down the teams over the next 10 years until there are less than 300. I know, insert joke here that Siena should be one of them..... but I really think their are too many Division 1 teams and it is hurting the quality of play overall.
