Love his attitude and his drive. These kids definitely feel they have something to prove! This is the edge they have to play with this coming season. Un-finished business!

I don’t see him moving up in competition nor do I see him getting drafted before he finishes college. I do see him either getting drafted or possibly free agency type opportunity in NBA and definitely no worse than a long career overseas.

We get to the NCAAs next year, and the possibility of him leaving to see if he can do it at a bigger school too, dramatically increases.

I disagree, only because I believe he wants to be a Saint and graduate from Siena. Not saying it isn’t a remote possibility but I just don’t see Jalen leaving till he graduates (Siena).

So true - wonder if he was able to rack up a few more courses/credits during this "unique" period and graduate early making him instantly eligible as a grad transfer?

Or maybe he wants to be an all-time Siena great and play four years here!?

Graduating early to then play as a grad transfer would be a great opportunity, I agree. Anyone know if he’s on pace to do so? I’m not aware that he was or is ahead in his classes. I was under the impression that he’ll graduate from Siena in 4 years. Anyone have any info to support the early graduation comments?

I have no idea where he is relative to any possible early graduation - I was only offering it as an alternative option to what HJ posted - I think Jalen loves Siena BUT wants to play on the big stage after his college career ends...I'd love him to stay for all four years and am confident we will do very, very well in both...

As long as there is a basketball season this year then Jalen will be at Siena. After that he's sure to try the draft process again and will get feedback there. If the feedback there is 'we are going to draft you' he won't be back. If the feedback is generally 'we need to see you at a higher level' and the NCAA allows immediate transfers he will be gone. If the feedback is overwhelmingly 'we need to see you at a higher level' and the NCAA doesn't allow immediate transfers then he could be gone. If the feedback is 'this is what we want you to work on next year if you want to have a shot at being drafted' then he will likely be back. Either way, I know if Jalen plays three years here or just the two years cause next season doesn't happen then there is no way I am going to begrudge him for whatever he decides. I hope all Siena fans feel that way.

I believe the next time Jalen opts into the draft process, his eligibility is ended at the college level (unless they made some rule change).......you are allowed to test the waters as they say once and then return, but not a second time........so after this season, he has many different options but opting for the draft directs him strictly to the professional level of some kind.......but he could receive enough feedback to guide him whether he should enter the draft process, finish up his final year at Siena or decide to transfer to a higher level school (providing that new rule goes into effect without having to sit out)....

You can test twice and come back, so him not entering this year means he can test next year and still come back as a senior.

With all the options for play and evaluation I don't see why a professional organization like the nba would need to see jalen at a "higher level" in order to decide. That just seems ridiculous to me. Now, I totally get why a player would "think" that or why a parent would think that.
