St. Peter's 12-5 Siena 11-5 Monmouth 10-6 Rider 9-8 Iona 8-8 Manhattan 7-9 Fairfield 7-9 Quinnipiac 7-9 Niagara 7-9 Marist 6-10 Canisius 5-11
SPU continues to stay hot. Looks like the battle for the top 2 is between Siena, SPU and Monmouth now.
The big thing with the #1 seed is the auto NIT bid if you don't win the tournament. Otherwise there is no real advantage. In fact (as of now) if you won the Quarterfinal game you would avoid playing Iona/Rider in the semifinals.
If Siena goes 2-2 in the next four very good chance they'll be at least second. If Siena/Monmouth tie Siena will almost certainly have the tiebreaker even if MU wins in the regular season finale because that means SPU would finish first and Siena went 1-1 vs. SPU and Monmouth 0-2.
Siena needs to be a game up on the Hawks going into that last game to take the pressure off the top two.
That game COULD be for the NIT bid though. SPU still has two in Buffalo and Iona but Siena might have to go 5-0 or at worse 4-1 to get the #1 seed.
