Today's update is the super unsexy 3 through 6 seeds but the 11 through 14s are all interesting:
5) Creighton vs 12) Yale 4) Penn State vs 13) Colgate 6) Iowa vs 11) Virginia 3) Seton Hall vs 14) Hofstra
Still hoping we get at least one of Villanova or Kentucky to add some name value.

"Update" of what? The "Your guess is as good as mine" school of prognostication? No offense intended, but isn't all of this meaningless at this point? So much can happen in the remaining weeks of the regular season and in the conference tournaments that trying to determine which teams will go where for the first-round games is just nonsense.

The updated Bracketology on ESPN. Plenty can change but you would be surprised how much is already likely set in stone among the higher seeds. We know Kansas and Baylor are going to Omaha, we know Duke is going to Greensboro, we know Gonzaga is going to Spokane. Dayton and West Virginia are likely going to Cleveland. Leaves a very limited number of teams that could wind up in Albany. Among those the sexiest names would be Kentucky and Villanova. Would certainly be fun to get Iowa and Fran here though.

Might not be sexy but if you got those match-ups they would be some real good games.

if Siena is in attendance might dip a bit. Would be really obnoxious if Siena made the tourney and they didn't put them in a Friday/Sunday region.

East Region - # 3 Seton Hall vs. # 14 Hofstra and # 6 Iowa vs. # 11 Virginia East Region - # 4 Penn St vs. # 13 Colgate and # 5 Creighton vs. # 12 Yale still, those 2nd round games on Saturday are really good.......Seton Hall-Iowa speaks for itself (and UVA can defend anyone so they could win)................Penn St is solid and the Blue Jays just beat SHall on the road have terrific players................JAM coaches Hofstra, and PSU, Colgate even Creighton have played in the past at the TUC....................

Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has a pair of 3-14 and 6-11 match-ups in his bracket today. Seton Hall plays Wright St. and Ohio State plays Arkansas while the other doubleheader pits Penn State vs Colgate and Arizona vs. the Purdue-Cincinnati winner. He also has Iowa vs. UVA but at a different site.
I would prefer Lunardi’s games.

Do we definitely get the 3/6 or is that up to the committee?

Do we definitely get the 3/6 or is that up to the committee? Totally up to the committee, if Syracuse and Seton Hall were both 1 seeds we would get double 1/8/9/16 brackets, basically what the designated NC location gets every year when UNC isn't a dumpster fire.

will now include the Jerry Palm from CBS since he is another source who is typically a bit more accurate...........here is what he had this morning............
South Region - # 3 Seton Hall vs. # 14 ARK-Little Rock and # 6 Michigan vs. # 11 Virginia East Region - # 3 Villanova vs. #14 Hofstra and # 6 Iowa vs. #11 Florida
**** he also has Siena # 16 vs. Prairie View # 16 in First 4 @ Dayton with winner getting # 1 Kansas - Midwest (Indianapolis)............

Siena’s RPI is 159, does that really warrant a #16 seed& a PIG? Wouldn’t a 159 qualify for a #15 seed?

Wouldn’t a 159 qualify for a #15 seed? based upon our CURRENT ratings it would warrant first 4 game as of now in comparison to the others that he has targeting as being in the field (keep in mind that there are really six #16's in the bracket, of which 4 are playing in Dayton)................but there are many games left for Siena to improve plus it will also depend on what other teams get in for eventual seeding.............
