Anyone know when the players found out about Kobe? Imagine that had to hit them really hard, especially Harris. Sure seem like Pickett channeled Kobe in the second half but I suspect they didn't find out until after the game.

I kind of figured that. In today's world information travels so fast., don't think I'll ever forget being in my seat at a basketball game when I found out one of the worlds all time greatest players died heading to a basketball game. I must have made an audible gasp because the two kids in front of me turned around to commiserate. But it wouldn't have surprised me to learn that the team found out during a timeout or something.

It was difficult to really focus/care about the result of the game after learning of the crash. Carm was right not to tell the team until after the game though

My first thought was the 1990 MAAC tournament when Hank Gathers died when LaSalle was playing Siena. I was only a little kid so I don't remember it that well. A little different situation since many of the LaSalle guys played with Hank and Bo Kimble in HS I believe in Philadelphia.
