If this conference affiliation question came up 3 years ago would it still be delusional? The C-7 thing should be put to bed but I think the A10 thing is very realistic. A10 will likely lose 5 teams (Butler-Xavier-Dayton-St. Louis and either VCU or Richmond) to the C-7. A-10 will be down to 9 teams (Temple and Charlotte are leaving after this year) UMass is also a threat to leave down the road to go into a D1-A football conference. George Mason is probably their first pick and then I think Siena is up. Who else are we competing with - Hofstra, Davidson, Murray State, Belmont, Valpo, Detroit, Charleston? Siena is stronger than those most of those schools historically and makes the most sense geographically with attendance/tradition/facilites/size etc Right now the focus is to get through the next 3 weeks and then find a very good coach that can start getting us back to being good and hopefully attractive when the A10 is looking for new schools.

The only thing that the Admin would have to say is " Our uncompromising commitments to integrity, to placing one's team above oneself, and to the academic and personal growth of each of our student-athletes will remain paramount. And we are keeping its options open. " Of course it takes MARBLES from the Admin. to say that ! Attachments:

Right now, with the condition this program is in, we aren't attractive to the AE. Any jump, and I mean any (C-7 or A10) would constitute at least a $50% bump in our coaches salary. Going to the C-7, closer to 3 times more than Mitch mkaes, but it also means we're attractive to a lot of BCS guys. Big name, along with the building and media, it's definitely a possibility.
