Owens'name comes up again. Can any one say if he is in or out and his scholarship available. With all the knowledge every on this forum expounds, why can't anyone find out what his status is on the Siena team? Was he at the ice cream party, did any ask Carm about him. There has been more sightings of Big Foot. With all the discussions of how many players we should have on the bench, there is one that is not even part of the team. What the Big secret? If you see Big Foot I bet he is at least 24 and can play power forward

Not gonna lie people counting his scholarship as open was weird. I'm expecting him to be on the roster (playing is a different story) until I hear otherwise.

Not even sure what this is referring to, but every Iona-related comment youve made in the last few pages of this thread has been incorrect. You dont what YOU said is referring to? I'll let you figure it out. Like I said, the board is all ears. Tell us how many players you're paying, and how much is each player getting? Remember now, I said you guys are paying 4 guys. You said, "way off." I said you guys stretched $50K. Another "way off." GS said our $100K is biggest NIL pot in the MAAC, so that leaves you guys where? $75-$80K? And if its "way off" about 4 guys, is it 6?? Why did you guys need to pay 6 guys? IF you did pay 6 (Even if its only 10-15K each) you better win the MAAC. Rider hasnt paid anyone have they? Just trying to get some honest answers from the resident podcasters.

His status is def the biggest coverup in Siena mens basketball history. And Singelais is like a CNN reporting on Hunter. Its never discussed or addressed. Why? no idea. 3 years of scholarships wasted on a kid that came here injured and has never recovered. If he gets a degree here without ever suiting up for one game, Im calling 60 minutes to do a full investigation on what might be the biggest gift in college basketball history.

So the answer is "less than 10" MAAC kids getting paid. And Im betting SD got more than anyone else. Rider easily has the best roster in the league. How many of their kids are getting paid? There should a rule put in place WHO is getting paid, and HOW MUCH across the country. NCAA needs to be transparent with what these kids are making. We'll see how flush Iona is now that the cash cow is in Jamaica. HE got them flush. They might have 3 kids getting some money. Not one of them more than SD or ME. If they are, I'm all ears. And I need more than, "they are" from any Iona sources. Kid from Cal, Stetson, the JC kid and maybe the freshman big from NJ are the top 4 candidates I can think of for them. Your Iona list isn't complete. I left out the one kid that was loyal to your program. He should get some money for his last year. But I was talking about paying 4 new kids. Maybe you're paying 5 new kids? So them and Shema would be 6. Thats a lot of kids to be paying, and with less money than Siena has ($100K). Feel free to straighten out the educated guesses made by me. Im sure you have all the numbers. Share away.

Amazing I thought these types were all gone guess the portal still has a few hanging around š The person who reported the commitment said that Fairfield put together a strong NIL package and also that heās not expected to be ready until January. Hmmm. So, if that's accurate he's entering his 7th year of college, had a substantial NIL ask, and apparently will only have 1 semester left in his career when he's ready in January (this has got to finally be his final year of eligibility). Gee, I wonder why he was still in the portal so late.

Let me put it to you this way re how I know your info is just way off: I'm about to get on a Zoom with the guy who runs Iona's NIL.

There are years that leaving a scholarship open for midseason transfers can make sense. With a transfer who might not get a waiver and a dude that hasn't played in 3 years due to injuries, this is not that year. Those situations should be counted as the equivalent of a midseason transfer, all risky and you shouldn't have more than one.

He's a better recruiter. Let's see what he does in season with the superior roster.
