Personally, I’d start Darwiche, Smithen, Pickett, Camper, and Friday.
Or I’d go with Pickett, Bayer, Camper, Seymour, Fisher
If I had to guess, I’d say my second choice is closer to the actual unit.

Can't say I have a clue about the starting lineup. Too many unknowns.
As far as the quiet board, maybe it reflects a little apprehension about what is to come. Really hard to tell what to expect from this team/system. Even returning players are hard to judge since they were coached by such a different guy in such a different system.

Jamion said at the most recent practice where media is able to watch, that he likes to "keep that stuff very close to the vest". We probably won't know until an hour or so before the game The lack of hot air is refreshing! Yeah I really like Jamion's approach. Business like. He's upbeat and positive not a BSer. I don't think the starters really matter at least not this early. We're going to be going 8-10 guys deep as JC has indicated numerous times. Who those 8-10 are will be the question.

It appears that YES has picked up Tuesday night's game at providence for a live broadcast, not just the replay at 2am on Wednesday

Still showing the St. John’s game for TWC and the replay at 2am according to the guide The Fox Sports website has both games listed at the same time on YES. I would assume that as long as you have a cable provider and can log in you should be able to watch it if it doesn't get switched with the St. John's game

Sounds like a lot of people won't be going to the game. I know it isn't the best day of the week/time for a game, but it isn't all that far. Yankee Trails has a bus going over for a more than reasonable price. I just thought more of us would want to be at this game. I hope this isn't an indication of how much damage was done to the program the last 5 years. Actually just the opposite; last year the first bus trip of the season was the Marist game. This year the very first game had a bus trip. It’s the beginning of a renewed program. Another indication things have turned around (from the fans’ perspective) people that gave up their season tickets are starting to purchase them again. Things are looking up and we haven’t even played a game yet.

I think if it isn't a foul shooting contest, we'll play them tough. If the game starts with Siena having 7+ fouls in the 1st 5 min, it will be a long night. When the whistles blow frequently, young players get very tentative which, as we all know, begets more fouls. What I hope for is an enthusiastic team trying to execute a plan. and hopefully with a modicum of success.

I just read a couple of previews for Providence and there's a chance we can compete with them. I'm sure they are more athletic but they lost several key players and some of the likely replacements have flaws like us, including a PG who did not play well last year, a center who grabbed 2 rpg last year and some weak outside shooters. Go Saints!

Saints (not Friar) Fans - Depending on when the bus from the Queen City of the North, Albany, rolls into Providence, there will be a contingent of local Siena fans gathering at Murphy's, a downtown watering hole, prior to the game. It is a short walk from the Dunkin Donuts Center. The Rhode Island guys will be there to greet you. If not, we look forward to sitting with you behind the Saints bench as we inaugurate a new era of Siena Basketball. Go Green !!! www.murphysprovidence.com

Go Saints! They have 4 freshmen...at least 2 are top-50 recruits. Watson, Young and Holt are quality Big East bigs. Ashton-Langford underperformed last year but was highly recruited and has a huge upside. Alpha Diallo should get whatever points he wants. They're beatable but it will take great shooting on our part.

PC’s biggest question mark is their PG play. They are going to start a freshman who is very talented but more of a scorer. If we can force a bunch of turnovers and hit 10 threes, we can hang in.
