It’s official, per his dad. m.youtube.com/watch?v=L9q6Oxa-hPUMust say his highlights look good. Not sure how he’ll defend in man-to-man or how he’ll be able to attack off the bounce, but he looks like he can really shoot the ball, is smart, unselfish, and plays hard. Looking forward to watching him.

Still not sure how the heck he is coming this year, but welcome Braedon. Spoke with a friend at the college... the new MBA program is slated to launch for Spring semester. However, there are several existing courses that will be taught in the fall that will go towards that MBA. My understanding is that Bayer (and probably Kadeem) will be taking some of those courses in the fall and then enter the program officially in the spring.

Another transfer not withstanding ... that should do it for this recruiting class.

Guess I'll have to look up his stats in D3 to see what he's done - certainly not much floor time in Syracuse. Welcome Braedon.

A friend messaged me this info.. “Bayer's biggest moment at Syracuse came in the second round of the NCAA tournament against Michigan State. Bayer, a former walk-on who was awarded a scholarship in December, played the last six minutes of the Orange's upset win over the Spartans. While closing out the game, Braedon played stellar defense...that included a block and a steal.” This came from the Syracuse Post Standard.
So. It sounds like when then moment calls for it, he has defensive ability! Welcome Braedon!

Walking on at Syracuse is not easy - turning that role into a full scholarship at Syracuse says a lot about this kid's abilities and work ethic - being a role player at Syracuse is like being a piece of meat going into a meat grinder - no downside to JC's move - we get maturity, high level experience, a kid hungry to play (just like his new coach is hungry to take full advantage of being HC at Siena) - and we balance out the classes - brilliant use of resources
