There's no problem. I'm pointing out the irony that some of you are lukewarm about a 3 star recruit. I guess the program has come a longer way than I thought. In my opinion, he's a pretty good plan A too at our level. Just sayin'. He doesn’t have another active D1 offer. He “had” at one point N. Florida & Georgia So. & interest from Oklahoma St. Now Siena got in early (right where you want to be), he recently qualified according to KS. Which was probably the issue, no? Tough crowd🤦♂️. This is a kid right in Carm’s wheelhouse as far as athleticism/system/fit & we’d be extremely lucky to land him!

Kobe's dad played football at Florida State and had some time in the NFL, possibly as a Bills draft pick.

From what I understand he's a late qualifier. It's what limited Pickett's offers too.

The important thing is Knox Silver & Murray are all quality recruits, good to see Carm & staff casting such a wide net!

A New York Post article from January 29 says Kobe has offers from San Diego (not San Diego State), UNC Greensboro, Holy Cross, Detroit and Oklahoma State.

In addition to Temple, Silver has had offers this month from UAB, Missouri State, Loyola Marymount and Texas State. In their last rankings, Juco Recruiting had him as the 25th best Juco sophomore and fifth among shooting guards, and three ahead of him have committed to Power 5 schools.
As for Aquan Smart of Niles North (IL), he took an official visit to Maryland last week. He is rated third in Illinois.

And he wants to go somewhere where he'll be the man right away. The uphill climb to get him is getting steeper and steeper. I really wish we could get him to visit during a game at TUC. It's really what sets us apart from most of the competition. But alas, based on his stated plans that's not going to happen.
