Does anyone know how MSM stacks up in the NEC as far as funding, facilities, support, media attention, etc.? Those details would enable me and others to develop a much more informed reaction to the hire.

Looks like he's got 3 kids signed for next year, and one commit but no LOI. These 4 kids, or some of, might be coming north with him if allowed out of their LOI's.

If Rodger is leaking this, it's probably true. I don't have access to the local media but I'm sure he wouldn't do it unless he was absolutely sure.
I like this hire. I think it's going to work eventually.

another stat that stands out: his teams were 60-19 at home or an average 10-3 per year. (76%)

Those details would enable me and others to develop a much more informed reaction to the hire. I don't know much about funding but they play in a 3100 seat gym that is 30 years old. Average attendance around 2100. Team plays roughly 13 home games per year versus 19 road or neutral games. They've won 76% of their home games, 36% of road games. They've averaged 11 NEC wins per year, 6.5 losses. It's the NEC, no one gets any media attention.

Those details would enable me and others to develop a much more informed reaction to the hire. They are 5th out of 10 in basketball spending per Mark Adams. They have a older looking gym but Jamion really invigorated the fan base— they had a good amount of sellouts last year. NEC in general gets little to no media attention.

I’m not so confident, I’m curious to see what saintsfan thinks. Also Tony, hoopjunkie, kk, etc He’s been a D1 assistant and has HC experience. He recruits well, has 2 trips to the NCAA has a solid reputation in the coaching community and is well respected. He likes to run and press (thank GOD). He’s a young motivated up and comer. We could have done a lot worse. Becker and Caputo were my top 2 choices ... both long shots. With that said I am not disappointed with this selection in the least.

Some info on Jamion Christian:
36 years old. 67-39 against the NEC, 105-101 overall. Graduated from Mount St. Mary's where he played PG before working on the staffs of William & Mary and VCU before getting the Mount head job.
He brought with him "Mount Mayhem"-- A variation on VCU's famed havoc defense. His teams have lots of guards who can run and press on one end and go get buckets at the other end.
He is a really good recruiter who does a good job of finding undervalued talent. His team this year had 4 VA natives, 3 MD natives, 2 from PA, and 2 from NC.
He has 2 NCAA Tournament appearances and 1 regular season conference title during his 6 years at Mount St. Mary's. After last year he signed an extension through the 2026-27 to hold onto him after the title. Lost 3 of his top 4 players and still came in second in the NEC this year. Had the FIU (Conference USA) job locked up this offseason but things fell apart in negotiations.
He has 3 players signed and 3 more verbally committed for next year, including a JUCO and a sit-out transfer.
I'm super happy with this hire.
Let's get this thing announced tomorrow morning and then presser on Monday please! Go Saints!

One thing I'm guessing he is NOT, is a lazy recruiter. This will be a welcome change.
