1 (Rider) and 2 (Canisius) seeds both go down tonight...NCAA PIG is in order.
This is what makes the last 8 years so much more painful for die hard fans. About 9 or 10 years ago, a legit opportunity existed for Siena to move up to a higher level conference.
Instead, they are cellar dwellers in a bad MAAC. Rock Bottom

I LOVE the upsets! Makes for a really fun tournament! We know no MAAC rep in the NCAA's this year is going to make much noise, so enjoy the upsets! Seeing Rider go down make me feel just a bit better about the Siena loss yesterday.

Seeing Rider go down make me feel just a bit better about the Siena loss yesterday. I agree...upsets are great. I'm just trying to make the point that Siena is at the bottom of a really bad conference. If they had even mediocre coaching, they would have had as good a shot as anyone to win the tourney. Look at Quinnipiac...if Patsos was fired after last year, Siena could be in that spot right now. Guess the reality of the situation is making me even more depressed and angry. There's no great powerhouse team, which highlights just how pathetic the Saints performed this year.

Agree 100% Mike. After Thursday night loss Siena RPI is now 296. The last 8 years have been incredibly mismanaged. Weak coaches hired no supervision or guidance on what’s expected by admin, astonishingly despite 1 winning regular season in last 8 years Siena’s coaches have had a guaranteed contracts every year – and NO that’s not the way it’s done at other schools. Despite losing regular seasons 2 of his first 3 years, Jimmy had already demonstrated his weak recruiting ( that portended the current disaster season) and record of 52-51 our current AD saw fit to give Jimmy a 5 year guaranteed contract. You can’t make this stuff up, D'Argenio couldn’t have mismanaged the men’s BB program anymore if he tried. Siena has gone from one of top mid majors in the country to one of the worst in 8 years. John has done some good things on business end over the years, but as the GM of both men’s and women’s BB programs at College he has been beyond bad. When Jimmy is eventually fired I have zero confidence in Darg having any say in the successor, he has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt he has zero knowledge in that field. Time has passed him by, he must be replaced

Tournament has been fun to watch no doubt. MAAC is down but I believe that is college hoop in general. College hoop,is still good entertainment but the actual playing of the game has gone downhill. Thought should be taken on the rule changes proposed, with both the actual playing rules and the legibility standards. Lebron thinks the NCAA is taking advantage of the players let him, and the NBA fund such league. We all know, their are violations. Take the money off the table for the tourney, never happen but remember always follow the money. Want the game to return to the fun days follow the money.
Tony absolutely correct. D arg has to go along with the majority of the admin, not just for the athletics but for the academics. Systemic challenge at the school.

Exactly. We were not competing against graded stakes horses within the league, but we performed like cheap claimers. As I have said many times, you are what your record says you are. And without integrity you have nothing.
