Curious, let's say JP gets another year, brings in 4 quality recruits and we win 25 games next year. What's the boards position? Still fire him? Keep him around for the last year ('19-'20)? What is the probability of that? He hasn’t won 25 in a season in his whole career and he’s going to somehow do that next year? Is there a guaranteed 25 win season ever again? If they changed coaches now Siena has a better chance of becoming Marist. JP is the best option right now.

If staying, JP has to clean house. Keep, Penn, Horn, PO, Fisher, Camper, Richard, Friday. Tell the rest they can stay as walk ons or help them find other options. Sure. You want the guy making the big money to stay, but toss the kids he sold on the program. What makes you think he can recruit any better?

Some guys were minor pieces and forced into more minutes and they were exposed. It happens and some guys can't handle the pressure of playing D1 hoop.

Good coaches are out there especially for a special school like Siena which has a fan base comparable to some BCS schools. Your comments as always defy logic. I just can’t figure out why you make them. Are you that clueless or are you just a troll.

Let’s be honest, Jimmy has been making a living off recruiting guys whom, other than a few, you knew before they stepped on campus that they’d struggle on D.
His targets this year seem like defenders, at least.

He hasn’t won the MAAC ever. He’s won the tournament once in 14 years. He has as many 20 plus loss seasons as 20 win seasons and he’s now a sub 500 coach after 14 years. His recruiting has been nothing short of pathetic.
That my friends is irrefutable and all ya need to know. A leopard doesn’t change his spots.
The way a few of you keep hanging on with the “what if’s” is pretty sorry at this juncture. He doesn’t deserve any benefit of doubt at this point.

You can bet your last buck if that contract wasn’t in place he’d be shot out of here like he was shot out of a cannon.

The only difference between you and me is I'm not sure Jimmy is going to get fired this year and am continuing on as if he's not. If he's not, then I look forward to seeing what he can bring in. That's it. There is nobody that criticizes him more during games than me. Didn't you read the 'idiot' thread on the MAAC board? Apparently, when I use that word, it always seems to refer to one person.

All I’m going to say is that I spoke to someone last night close to the program (about as close as you can get) that said when I was lamenting that we had to deal with Jimmy for another year ... their response was maybe not ...we’ll see. I’ve now heard this multiple times from various people. I believe they want him gone now .. the $$$$ / contract is the hurdle. Maybe something gets worked out. Can only hope. Stay tuned!

The coach's poor recruiting, player development & in-game coaching was exposed over the last several years. Two 20 loss seasons in 5 years. Who do you blame for that?

Besides Marist, Siena is the only other MAAC team has more than two 20 loss seasons over the last 8 years. That's something to be proud of, huh? Clueless and ignorant. But you love the non-competitiveness so you can just sit back and have a brew.
