I hate to say it but I don't see the Saints winning tonight. Bite your tongue!! Niagara has a RPI of 220, are 0-2 in MAAC. We are at home, are you saying 5 years into So-so Jimbo's tenure you fear Siena will lose at home to A team tied for last place in MAAC ..No way I go with Siena winning this!!! I think it is a bad matchup and Niagara losses were to the top two (by RPI) teams in the maac (though I expect Rider to fade like they do every year). And, please don't try and pull me in to the JP debate, I have no interest in participating. He is the coach and I'll support him and the team until he is no longer the coach. Whether it is year 1 or year 5, the team with the talented, senior laden backcourt usually has the advantage over the one built around freshman.

Sorry Nola- certainly wasn't trying to pull you into any debate. Sadly I think we can all agree how far the bar has been lowered under so-so Jimbo that many are predicting a loss to last place MAAC team . While I agree Niagara will rise out of last place, the fact remains they have RPI of 220-- Purps are currently projected as 8th place team in MAAC. I remain confident of a victory tonight

Predicting a Saints win and a break out of his 2 game slump by Nico. Will be very disappointed if both do not happen tonight. Go Saints! BTW already hearing from fellow season ticket holders that they are not going to the game tonight because of the cold and the wind. Really? C'mon Man! This is Albany in January! Mankind is getting soft.

Big game tonight- one of 2 games left on schedule where Siena is favored ( according to sagarins predictor) other game is home vs Marist. Jimmy needs to win next two in worst way. If we go 0-2 will be almost no chance to get to 10 wins. I feel good Siena wins tonight, and prolly lose to Canisius Sunday Tony, betting line has Siena as a 1.5 point dog. No way Richard can play Niagara's guards. Nico has to have a big game tonight for Siena to win this one. We'll be there rooting them on though. Go saints.

Won't be stopping me from driving to Hartford early AM tomorrow for a noon tip off. It really comes down to the aura around this program right now which encompasses Ws/Ls but the scope is bigger than that.

Ooh ooh ooh what to say about this game.On paper it's not a good matchup for our young guards.Really need Nico and Shivers from start to finish on this one.Have to have another strong effort from frontcourt cut down on fouls get to free throw line.I give this one 50/50.Right known barring any surprise injury or last minute line up changes.Wil

Siena will need to play really well to pull off either a win tonight and also on Sunday vs. Griffs...............it would not be a surprise to lose both of those games........then a tough road stretch (at New Rochelle & at Riverdale).......possibly starting the league slate at 0-6, ouch.............

Niagara is tough with the guards they send at you, Dukes and Scott are one of only 2 duos in the country each averaging 21+ ppg. When those 2 are rolling it makes their offense super hard to stop other than hoping the other guys miss their 3’s: Niagara is 6-3 when they shoot 35% from 3 or better as a team and 1-5 when they shoot less than 35% from downtown. They are also prolific at getting to the free throw line, specifically Dukes and Scott, so that has to be a concern for us.
That said, they don’t defend a lick. They give up 89 ppg (348th in the nation) while ranking 333th in Adjusted defense per Ken Pom. They get hit pretty hard on the glass too, and you can really get to them on the offensive glass.
Bottom line is we aren’t going to beat anyone this year if Nico and Shivers don’t show up. I usually don’t like JP calling players out but I thought it was the right thing to do after the game against QU. Those 2 are supposed to be the 2 best players on the team and veterans. They can handle it. I expect them to be ready to go and the Saints to get a nice win in one of the more exciting games of the year thanks to the lack of defense being played.

Mankind is getting soft. The biggest reason is the product sucks so people don’t want to make the extra effort. Basketballs always been in the winter, no??? I’ve been going to Siena games forever. This is the worst I’ve seen it for repeated “no shows”. Apathy has set in.

Apathy has set in. without question OI hits the nail on the head........that is why on Jan 1, that game drew 3,800 LESS than the actual paid attendance (WITH ZERO EXCUSES- afternoon game with no conflicts of college football playoffs, kids off from school, folks off from work)...........it is getting to the point where although tickets have been paid for, folks are not going, they would rather throw their money away than come out for blech...............that is all that needs to be said as to the product.........

Casey is not a good coach--So-so works him over, Saints win this one, maybe easily. Nico returns to form, Penn and Oduro have good games. SHould be a good crowd tonight, I'm guessing 4 or 5 K show up..announced attendance around 6 or 7 K

No TV for this one right, so maybe some on the fence come out. No way we lose. Nico is over due, I’d like see him start.
