... I'm still searching for a thread that hasn't been hijacked by people with their rants about Jimmy. I think everyone who loves Siena basketball and enjoys this board (thanks, Tony, and all) - understands people's position on the coach. You have made it abundantly clear to one and all. I'm not a big Jimmy fan either, but I try to look beyond that to the program which I have loved and supported - can we all make a "truce" to focus on other things about Siena for at least a month or so? Please !

I, myself, am also searching for a thread where people don't rant about rants about Jimmy.
I'll just move on to the next thread I think...

Actually now is the time we were all told was the time to do our rants-// at the end of the season. And so here we are the end of the season, which for Siena basketball is usually around march 6 or so.
I'm glad the team got to .500 for the seniors, all four of whom will likely go on to bigger and better things. As to next year I expect a .500 season as well-- low expectations, less talent but less drama. As long as they don't extend perhaps Siena can build up its coffers to get a good coach down the road. My selection just won its third title in his first two years (reg and post) of coaching, which is more than patsos has in 13 seasons.

Here's a respite for everyone - go watch some hoops tonight, there's some great games on the docket:
Siena South plays at 6 PM, check it out on WatchESPN (ESPN3) Duke/UNC needs no aggrandizing Maryland plays Northwestern in a sneaky good game between two tourney teams (BTN) UCLA/Arizona is the nightcap for all you Night-Fran Dunphy's out there (ESPN, probably)
If you love college hoops (and if you're reading this you clearly do) take in the slate. Enjoy it.
Have a nice weekend all.

Lots of great games this weekend, even in D-II where I will be rooting for Brian Beaury (the Golden Knights of St. Rose) as well as Tobin Anderson (St. Thomas Aquinas). They will be playing all day tomorrow at Lemoyne from noon on. Best of luck to them! hoopsforever - watch ESPN and stop searching- you will feel better. It is what it is and Siena knew what it was when they acquired it.

Please ! I have always wondered how many geniuses 🙄 in sienahoops made their high school or college basketball team?! Coached?! My guess.. Player in high school : 45% Player in college : 2% Coached at any level : 2%
