Try telling that to them or their parents. Okay so now it's the Parents or is AAU? I'm confused The AAU gets the kids heads filled with unrealistic expectations. THEN the parents need, or fail to, bring their own kid back down to earth. The HS coach has been eliminated from the recruiting process. So I'm guessing if you were a HS coach you'd get it, but if you're an AAU guy, I get why you dont, or refuse to, see the issue.

I've coached HS too and one the best leg in county I've done both. All my co coaches they coach HS and AAU but that's irrelevant So Wormley and Nico AAU caused them to leave? I'm confused how do you know it wasn't all them. Could been lot reasons It's easy cop out to blame AAU that's the in thing.

Someone shopped Nico at the end of last year who thought he should be higher wherever it came from. Perhaps now grades too will prevent that as well as the knee rehab, we will never know. What we do know is that all you many handlers try to leech along the way on this. Not saying you aren't reputable and honest, I know for a fact you are but your ethics may not be enough to overpower others greed.

AAU hasn't done any favors for College BB. GB is spot on. Follow the money, how much are these so called BB officiators paid for getting a kid to transfer. Not saying this is the case with NIco or Wormely but makes one wonder. NCAA has to go back to the old days in regards to transfers, big schools have bought and sold the NCAA and its policies. Reading the D"Arg news release. Personal opinion smoke and mirrors. Obviously can't give the real reason but there is fire where the smoke is. Program in turmoil, poor performances by all but especially the coach. Perhaps , more than likely there is bad blood between Nico and JP for personal reasons. We may never know or some that are close to the program will find out the real reason. Interesting they left the door open for his return. So AAU the reason Wormely n Nico are leaving? Paid to transfer? These kids aren't NBA talents If an AAU (or handler) told Worm that he could do better and get to NBA; then yeah they are part of the blame/reason. Siena fans remember a certain AAU/handler talk Kojo into leaving Siena. All that did was help get him shot, literally. Then he drops out of college his Sr to "enter the NBA draft". So those are the AAU/handlers who aren't doing those kids an favors.

I don't know how the pay is in Latin America vs Europe, but it could be argued that perhaps if he had stayed at Siena he could have had a higher profile coming out of college and had a better career in the Euro league.

These days you can get shot anywhere or hit by a drunken driver etc. not totally related to him transferring.

True, but if he stayed I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have gotten shot at or put in a position to get shot at. We'll never know because he got potentially bad advice from his handler. If handle was honest with himself & Kojo he probably would have graduated from Siena like Tay did.

I just looked at the Cole suspended thread from a few years back. Let's hope Nico is not going down his same path.

Hopefully we have coaches here that instill a positive yet realistic attitude toward our players-- if they are good enough they can make the NBA from the maac. The majority of our stars go on to have nice careers in first world countries. No need to transfer for "exposure" unless you are a jack mcclinton, and although he was drafted I don't think even he played in the NBA much of at all.

Siena has stated it's not about grades with this kid. That being said..student athletes are given every opportunity to succeed at Siena. When I was enrolled ..I befriended X-PG Sarah Craft....who told be about the extra help that was given to athletes! They just have to ask!

Nico may take too many shots but it is undeniable that the offense bogs down when he is not in there. I am hoping against slim chances that he gets back asap.

I only want him back if he is 100% committed to team concept. he played way too much like it was all about him this year. No denying his talent- but he hasn't really helped us this year, in fact I think he has hurt us
