We beat rider and my JP hate calms down! Not saying we cant beat Rider- but JP's record is 8-25 here at Siena with one day turn around That's odd, if you knew that stat would you have predicted 23-8? I went with your expert knowledge. 20-3 is still doable. Not much room for error though.

Good win last night. A little disappointed we let them back in it, but at least we rose to the occasion when it mattered. Got to improve the FT% and see how we can involve the bench a little more. On to Rider, then just 2 games in over 2 weeks, including one down in Fla. Hopefully get rested up, healed and recharge their batteries for the important games starting in Jan, starting with the tough WNY trip.

Nice win-- we played very good in portions of game, and very undisciplined in others. Nico was da man out there. We eventually have to get something out of bench-- yeah its great SHivers did some good things ( he struggled defensively ) But you can't have Shivers and Fishers giving you goose eggs- at least shivers had 2 rebounds and 2 assists which is much more than 0 rebounds that EF gave us. Richards and Smithin are odd men out right now only playing min or 2 here and there. On to Rider, I'll hope for best but dont like our chances, this staff's record with 1 day turnaround is horrible. Both Brett and Nico played a lot of min so hopefully they can ice down knee's and be ready to play Monday We beat rider and my JP hate calms down! Like they always say, winning cures all ills. Still a few "true haters" will not be satisfied until JP is gone, win or lose. Luckily the number is limited, because, barring disaster, JP isn't likely to be going anywhere in the short term. On the plus side the team won last night, played up tempo, put up a lot of points, was entertaining to watch. We have seen worse days. ;-)

With Wright moving back to the point, there's no real minutes for Smithen or Richards going forward. Smithen does the little things and plays solid defense, but is a zero offensively. We won, but I wasnt happy with anyone but Nico. Our defense was horrible. FT shooting will cost us close games, along with not knowing score/situation late in games. We sure as hell don't look like a senior-laden team. I expected more from Smithen coming from the A10.

So true as an outsider but an alumni who reads daily, but posts rarely, the sentiment of this board is sad. Not only is there very little support for the coach of the program which is sad, but the nonsense that is spewed against 18-22 year old young men is sad. Making the trip up with my boys for the game, win or lose I will continue to support my school! By the way recruits look at this board, I know factually one player who removed Siena from consideration because after reading this board he felt that our coach was not safe. The kid is being recruited by other MAAC and A-10 schools, and will be a great MAAC player if this is the level he settles at. I get that coaches are paid to win and subject to scrutiny, but what happens here often crosses the line from scrutiny to ridiculous! "coach isn't safe"? was the recruit a target for 16, 17 or 18? Tell him Jimmy has at least two more years and if he comes and plays well, he can help him stay until retirement

Still don't think JP was the best choice for the program overall based on his past performance record/body of work.

If the kid removed us from his list then so be it. No coach is safe in this business unless you're coach K or the like.

That gate swings both ways, no doubt haters use losses to prove their point that the coach is inept just as Jimmy apologist come out after wins to prove that he's the right guy for the job. Funny thing each side feels they are right (which is about 50% of the time) and if the coach holds true to present form then I guess we'll be mired right in the middle of this conflict until something forces a change. I guess the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Welcome to the dilemma of the 500 coach! This was my issue with the hire in the first place.

All this hatful rhetoric does nothing for the program! It's all about ego!

And it's obvious from the Presser that JP or someone close to him is reading the board.
