Name the last good or even serviceable player Siena had at 6'10 or taller? JO and Brett are 6'8. OD 6'8. Rossiter might have been listed at 6'9 (but probably closer to 6'8). The MAAC doesn't get guys over 6'8 who are really talented players. Once in a while you'll get a Jason Thompson but he grew late and of course ended up being a lottery pick. Sorry but if you're 6'10 at the mid-major level you are usually a big time project.
Speaking of Brett... he has a chance to become only the third 1,000 point - 1,000 rebound player in Siena history. Only Ryan Rossiter, OD Anosike and Lee Matthews have done it. He could also become the first Siena player to reach 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds. He'll reach 1,500 points only averaging 12.6 points over the 31-game regular season which would put him in the top 10 all-time scoring at Siena College. If Siena plays 34 games next year and Bisping averages exactly 9 rebounds a game he'll hit 1,000 boards on the nose.
Javion has 851 points and 411 rebounds going into his senior season. Good chance he finishes with around 1400 points and 600 rebounds.

Thanks lads for creating Jimmy's pitch points. Not only does Siena have a lot of advantages over most of the MAAC, it has them over most MM programs. Couple those advantages with the pitch you guys just created: Come to Siena - the Crown Jewel of the MAAC, go to The Dance multiple times and become not only a Siena HoFer but a MAAC HoFer. Not sure Siena has such a huge advantage over a lot of MM programs. Yes our arena is nice, but the inside is on the decline and is starting to become dated. The one campus facility is nice but to take the next step Siena desperately needs a dedicated practice facility and offices. I had the opportunity to tour the new facilities at VCU and to look at that and look at the ARC it's not even close. Everyone wants the program to move forward, but the recruiting budget and amenities aren't as superior as everyone thinks Siena has.

Iona and FF pay their coaches more, so not like siena is using its revenue stream to higher top tier HC's at this level... never have outside of fran's new deals.... Think about the coaches we have had and what they get have gotten paid. Siena pays MAAC level salary.

I stated often in the past that Steve Downey, 7', would have played in the NBA if he had the drive of Biz, D., Kenny, Faison, Robinson, Alex, and Ubilies. Word was he was too interested in cars. I believe he still lives in the area.

Jason Thompson from Rider was the last 6 10 to dominate the MAAC. He entered college at 6'8 and had a late growth spurt that is unusual at that age. Setting aside that fact, his first season was 2004, which is over a decade ago. That underscores how rare players like him are in the MAAC. Yet some here would consider Patsos a failure for not getting one.

Eric Fleury! I always thought that his 20 seconds in the historic Stanford game it was turned that game in the Saints' favor..

Wow, sad state of affairs around here. When the die hard fans that are found around here are replying enmass about how 'we' can't & JP doesn't try, the you are right we can't. The PW & so-so-Jimbo have effectively ruined the program.

I believe he still lives in the area. He had that massive old Cadillac and I recall seeing him working on it. Also, I was shocked the fiest time I ever saw him, I had never seen a legit 7 footer before.

Pankey and Kemp were 6-10 Pankey may have been listed at 6'10, but he was no more that height in reality than the current generously listed Ryden Hines is. He was also a transfer, not a 4 year player. Kemp I barely even remember - he was no superstar.
