Disappointed to find out it isn't pronounced Booty, missed opportunity for when he sat on the bench next to Friday.

The kid's JUCO stats make him look like OD Anosike type. 16 & 10, 46% from the line.

I posted this in the 17 recruiting thread: stats from the website indicate he's 63% from the field but 46% from the line and doesnt shoot it from 3. Translation he scores going to the hoop or around it with not much of a perimeter game and doesn't shoot it well from the charity stripe when fouled. Is this kid a 3 or 4?

His game looks much more like a mid-major 4 than of a 3.

THIS TEAM NEEDS A FIVE MAN - sorry for yelling but my goodness when is JP going to have the balls to go fight for a 6-10 to 7+ post player!? This is maddening.
Btw, no offense intended to the 1-4 players he is recruiting it is just that, after this coming year, the team NEEDS A FIVE MAN aka PAINT PROTECTOR...

JO isn't a 6"10 big man and his the best big man in the league. An athletic 6' 8 big man that can rebound and block shots is all you need at this level. Good big men are hard to get at this level. Need to find the Rossiter, OD,JO type and project them out to their junior and senior year. Can't think of the last freshman big man that has come to Siena and contributed significantly. It's a guard driven league. Need athletic wings that can shoot and get to the rim.

How many times have you seen a 6'10 or taller big man in the MAAC who could actually play the game?

Good 6'10" kids don't come to the MAAC, they go higher.

6'10"+ MAAC bigs usually have LOTS of work to do. They generally are slow and unathletic (otherwise they'd be at a BCS school). I think the sweet spot for MAAC recruiting is 6-8" to 6-9" semi- to athletic bigs that can blossom as a Soph or Jr. NONE of our bigs...even the really good ones (JO/RR/BB) have done much of anything as frosh. Credit the coaching staff and the weight room folks. They've turned these skinny goofs into men (all meant as a compliment).
*IF* we ever get back to repeated NCAA trips we *MAY* have a shot at BCS level talent. Until then we'll need to get the diamonds in the rough and hope for all the pieces to come together.

Thanks lads for creating Jimmy's pitch points. Not only does Siena have a lot of advantages over most of the MAAC, it has them over most MM programs. Couple those advantages with the pitch you guys just created: Come to Siena - the Crown Jewel of the MAAC, go to The Dance multiple times and become not only a Siena HoFer but a MAAC HoFer.

Couple those advantages with the pitch you guys just created: Come to Siena - the Crown Jewel of the MAAC, go to The Dance multiple times and become not only a Siena HoFer but a MAAC HoFer. That may be so - but Siena is still in the MAAC and thus has to play other MAAC teams every year. As a result, Siena will attract mostly MAAC talent. Those blue chip recruits you covet aren't exactly chomping at the bit to play Rider and St Peter's in their dingy gyms every season.
