Decent year. I was kinda taken back when Manning said there was "groups" in this team- not good. Rebounding killed us and stealing killed us. Next year questions... How will the sophomores develop? Not just Nico- I want to see how Fisher, LaRose, Wormley all grow. If they can average a 2+ points each, we're going to be tough to beat next year. I've heard that Smithen is a good defensive player, but how is he offensively? Will the Flying Dutchman give us a boost? Will Richards and Huerter help us any? Can we learn how to limit turnovers? Stealing defenses murder us (Iona and Monmouth). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- See ya around the offseason, folks. Maybe I'll head to Kansas next year :-). "Groups" in this team - what's that suppose to mean? Never like hearing that!

The crowd was as loud as it could be given our much reduced numbers - don't criticize those of us that came - don't criticize those that didn't - lots going on with ticket snafus, quick turnaround and a fan base that had prematurely shut down when all of the "in the know" folks said Siena wouldn't pony up the $'s to buy a home game in an "also ran" post season tournament.
We stayed with a very well coached, athletic, deep and disciplined team. They were the better team overall yet our heart and fight took them to the wire. I for one would say we got out coached. They knew our strengths and took full advantage of that knowledge. How many defensive rebounds went by the boards (pun intended) as we failed to box out and watched tip in after tip in complete their offensive set. Hopefully we can build on the game by EMPHASIZING the positives and WORKING on the negatives. FT shooting must be improved and that should be a no brainer - if our staff needs fresh ideas, hire someone to come in and school the kids - shit, if we paid %30K for the game we should be able to find a significantly lesser amount to school the team and staff on how to get FT's into the + column. We've been listening to HJ for too long about the need for quickness and athleticism - we saw a team constructed that way and I, despite the L enjoyed watching them play. Our recruiting needs to be improved and we need to develop ALL of the kids that sit on that bench in the future.

I seem to recall the "groups" concept being voiced when they pulled the plug on Cole - staff should be focused on a "team" concept and nipping any "groups" crap in the bud. Perhaps Patrick was not the bad seed he was characterized as!

JP had a nice season. I couldn't care less they lost tonight. I thought it was a terrible idea from the beginning. Dipset has clearly been drinking tonight... A lot

Don't know what coach Manning was alluding too the coaches would know better than any of us would. I would agree it needs to be corrected in the off-season. I thought we played together mostly but perhaps a communication issue was apart of the ridiculous number of turnovers. I agree with JP's assessment after the MAAC tournament team got a B and I'd give the coaching staff a B.
We were 8-4 with 'Quis and then 10-5 without him. Have to give the team credit for not falling part. The problem is we were 3-4 when he came back. Not blaming him but clearly something was off. Hard to believe we had a better winning percentage 10-5 (.667) when he was out than when he was in 11-8 (.579) of course that includes Duke/Wisconsin and two Iona games.
We didn't play well down the stretch (neither did St. Fran's Iowa squad) but that doesn't damper my sky high expectations for 2016-17. #NCAAsorBust

This game showcased Lavon's guard skills. NOT. He should never be allowed to handle the ball outside the paint.

Groups is just another damn excuse...
Recruit the right guys and stop giving away freebies and maybe we can get back to the top, sick of the bullshit.

This game did nothing but make me more reluctant about next season. Without Oliver this would have been a blowout

Frustrating to watch such lousy ft shooting on home court while visitors come and go 21 out of 24. Maybe Mike Deane can be a shooting consultant. Four point loss. Wonder what would have happened if Brett didn't miss the dunk and give M S a point on the T and Lavon didn't miss wide open layup. To Nico's credit he took some free throws in second half warmups. Morehead had 11 guys score ala Monmouth. Eight man rotations don't cut it. Jimmy paid Ryan great tribute in pc.

I think Nico was the only player who could keep his guy infront of him.
