Correct, I agree. If we don't win Sunday it "may" cost us 3rd (assuming FF wins), but losing to FF the other night didn't cost us anything (as far as the standings after that game). Media tries to make everything sensational (especially losing). I don't but it. Besides if we happen to finish 4th, which I don't believe will be the case, it's not that worst off from 3rd.
All it does is get us to talk about it, for what, to srgue amongst our selves?

The title is confusing, what exactly did it cost the Saints? I mean we were in 3rd and after the game still in 3rd. Didn't cost us anything. it cost the win, obviously.

If we beat Quinnipiac the FF loss really isn't a big deal...Once we lost to Iona we weren't getting the 2 seed. With a win Sunday we are the 3 seed. And losing at FF didn't hurt us much in the RPI.
Hopefully the game was a wake up call and we come out strong on Sunday. We can't take anyone lightly.

Quinnipiac is awful. This wont be much of a prep for the tournament. This team needs to win next week no matter who and when they play in the quarters. If they don't get to Sunday the season will be a big disappointment even with 20 wins.

you were in 17 win area before Wright got hurt( hard to be sure you are all over the map) -- you were convinced they wouldn't win 15 games after injury- nice try at spin thou

Face it, 3rd or 4th we get the dubious task of preventing English or Robinson going off for 30+ points. As they say, "Pick your poison".

Notwithstanding Papi, I think a lot of fans were very optimistic when the season started. I for one predicted 22-9. Like many, I thought that number of wins was unattainable when Quis went down, and losses to UVM and Manhattan in the first three games after his injury.seemed to confirm that. But we all have seen how the team came together, providing many more highs than lows since then. With Quis back, there was understandably great optimism for the balance of the regular season and the tournament. I didn't expect us to sweep Iona and I didn't expect Fairfield to get hot late in the season. When Quis got hurt, I would have signed for a 20-11 regular season, but with everything that has happened, I will be disappointed if we are not playing next Sunday night.

Best case scenario ... beat the Q, Canisius wins and Manhattan loses. Siena faces Canisius or Marist then, if they win, the winner of Manhattan/Niagara vs Iona.
