Sent from my SM-G900P using proboards We were in good shape during the Clinton years thanks to the "contract with America", via a republican congress. The economy created by the Internet boom didn't hurt either. We also got the repeal of glass-steagall act under Clinton which could arguably be the cause to the crashes in the stock market. Both parties have blood on their hands. Success has many fathers, failure is most often an orphan.

Sure thing CR but the answer is Nixon. If he had been allowed to finish what he started it would probably be Eisenhower. Many blame an adversarial congress for Reagan's huge deficit. Those same folks would not make the same claim for Obama.
Cut taxes and increase spending...What could go wrong???
