Yes, yes Marquis is great.
But, I wish Patsos would mention Brandwijk.
Jimmy is a little like the Siena fanbase..always obsessed with the new toys.
First it was generally downplaying Mitch's guys, until oops, he needed them in order to score points and rebound. Now, it's downplaying sophomores.
I like Fisher. He does look like he has some fire and some shooting ability. But he's a frosh. Few bigs in this league fly around with reckless athleticism like WB and on top of it, make threes.
Last year, he was the new toy. This summer, forgotten.
There is more to his game than he showed last year. I, for one, am more excited to see his improvement. He has the all around energy that could really take over games once he harnesses it.

Everything is on the shoulders of our pg. I thought that's what the fan base wanted. It takes the pressure off of everyone else. I hope he is ready for it

I hope he is ready for it We'll go as far as our three juniors (Marquis, Lavon and Brett) take us. They will lead the team along with the two seniors (Imoh and Ryan). For the first time in Patsos' Siena tenure our best players will be all upperclassmen (outside of Poole). We need them all to be at the top of their games to take the pressure off the young guys.

He's easily our best player. He deserves the spotlight.

Add another year of strength training and we could see a significant jump in terms of production from him.

Fisher looks like a gritty scorer but I'm not sure how ready he'll be on defense or rebounding wise as a frosh. It doesn't seem like he's a great FT shooter either despite his 3 pt touch. If WB is running around being a defensive catalyst like he was in spurts last year and ups his offense, he should win the time. He just needs to learn to be a big and get a little craftier inside. Can't just rely on dunks and threes.

Add another year of strength training and we could see a significant jump in terms of production from him. We've heard plenty of criticism of WB's play this year. As a strong supporter of WB's from the beginning of last year, I still don't think the critics have been that off in their critiques of his season. With that being said, I'm not discouraged or pessimistic about his future. I also don't think there is any problem with this soon to be sophomore not being talked about while Marquis is being promoted. WB will have his moments in the next three years, he should be one of the "bigger" bright spots for us in the future. Let's try to enjoy positive articles like this one of Marquis without somehow equating it to negative assumptions or lack of attention of other players. Marquis definitely desires this moment. And as said earlier, in so many words. Fisher is going to be another interesting addition to our roster. Very intriguing! Forget this fall! I can't until the incoming freshmen get on campus for summer school!

I can't until the incoming freshmen get on campus for summer school! Willem was supposed to redshirt this past season. Obviously, it didn't work out that way. But if the coaches had had their way, he wouldn't have played, and would hopefully have been better prepared after his redshirt season was completed. Was it better that he was forced to play last year? Who knows. He did get a good deal of experience, which can't hurt going into next season, but on balance, he and the program probably would have been better served if he had been able to redshirt, as originally planned.

Wolfe was supposed to redshirt. WB played in the exhibition before it was known that Silas was out for the year. Don't think it was gonna happen either way.
