i know he pales in comparison to your boy Audu but he will have to do I thought we were past this. I don't bust on things you said that were wrong. Now you take a shot on a joke of all things? And again on something I'm pretty sure I didn't do. Why don't you tell me how off I was on Paige? At least on that one I was really off. You do that and I promise not to remind you when you said White was our best player. and everyone out here knows i NEVER said that. I did say that I liked what i saw from him in practice. Before he came to Siena he looked like he had some of the skills we needed. He actually does BUT he just cant seem to get it going offensively. You were pretty high on Audu. I dont think you expected him to be any kind of star. Nico is just what the dr ordered for this team though. People do seem to struggle with the difference in expectations of knowing a player fills weaknesses and expecting to be a player of the year. There is a huge difference. This being said... Clareth potential is first teamer eventually in his career

From what I've seen of Nico the last few years, he should have an impact at Siena next season. He's athletic, has good size, and plays hard with energy. He also scores the ball well enough inside and out, and defends. He coming from a good program where the game is taught and they plays a good schedule in and out of their league. I think the biggest question for most kids moving to the college level is how do adjust to playing against equal or sometimes better talent on a game in game out basis. Since Nico was one of the biggest most athletic 2's in his conference, I expect him to have some growing pains competing against legit college 2's with size early in the season. I have no doubt he will adjust by mid season next year. This is a really good get for Siena. Personally, I think he is better a player with more upside than his teammate who is going to Providence. He reminds me of Mo White when he was in high school only a more consistent scorer away from the basket and a little better off the dribble. If somehow White can get his confidence back scoring the ball, Siena could have 2 very good defensive guards at the 2 slot. What's going on with White is still a mystery to me.

The ballhandling of the 2 players is not comparable. From what I've seen so far, Clareth looks like a better ballhandler than everyone on Siena next year except for Wright.

From what I've seen, yes. Wormley gets to where he needs to go, but not with as much separation. Clareth creates separation almost at will at his current level. And he adapts to the defense better.

Better even than Wormley? From what I've seen, yes. If that winds up the case then strong consideration should be given to redshirting Wormley next year and letting Nico and if need be, Oliver, backup Wright. Wormley would have no role if he isn't the best option to backup Wright.

Wormley would have no role if he isn't the best option to backup Wright. Perhaps. But that could also depend on LaRose. And maybe you need that extra defender.

KK that is not a high compliment considering what Siena has. I don't see him having above average skills with the ball from your normal 2. I will agree his skills are better than White. I'm sure he will work on ballhandling in the off season because I imagine he might be able to do spot duty at the 1. I think he is probably already penciled in at the 2 for next season.

I've watched some full games and will keep watching but I've already seen him do some things in a game that I've seen only Wright and Hymes do with the ball since Ronald Moore left. This kid looks shifty enough that he could score a ton without even shooting threes ala Wright. That kind of shifty at his height with that kind of speed and athleticism is dangerous. He's got all of Cole's moves and more...but on top of that he has more bounce than him and a higher motor than you typically see coming out of HS. I don't see him committing a lot of turnovers...if only because he's so good and adaptable at getting his shot off that it will be a miss before it's a turnover. If his jumper isn't falling he can still contribute by getting to the rim almost at will. He looks like the type of go-to guard Siena hasn't had for half a decade.

But we shouldn't hype him.

As long as he gets to play to his strengths he will be a very good player here.

As long as he gets to play to his strengths he will be a very good player here. We should take it one day at a time. Just be happy he's here and hope he can help the ballclub. We just want him to give it his best shot, and the good Lord willing, things will work out.

Nico will start at the two next year unless he doesn't work hard. Wormley is a better ball handler and a pure PG-- something Nico is not. Kenny will get 10 min a game backing up Wright. I know you guys are hemming and hawing, afraid to say anything( Like anything we say on this board will put pressure on Nico) but I'll come out and say it, Nico will be a impact player for us next year, kid can play
