Regarding Long, question is he committing the fouls out of frustration/ At least some of them.

I dont believe it would do any good for Lavon to start flopping. He won't get the call. Right now there are two issues with him as I see it. First ..some bad/inconsistent reffing and he is a marked man in this conference at this point. Second ..some really bad choices be they originating from over agression or frustration, it is something that has to be fixed for him to make a srep forward. AND LET'S BE VERY CLEAR THAT THERE IS NO SIENA FAN THAT DOESN'T WANT HIM TO TAKE THAT NEXT STEP REGARDLESS OF WHAT HIS MOM THINKS. So the biggest question in my mind is, does the coaching staff get this straightened out in THIS off season or will we never see Lavon Long's entire package developed over the next two years? That would be a program and personal travesty.

He has to stop with silly fouls reaching, fouls 70' from the basket etc and play smarter All manageable, he's needed on the floor not the bench I've been watching him closely & you can't blame the refs the majority of his fouls are legit. Sure there's a bad call here and there but it's not why he's in the top 5 or so players in the nation fouling 2 yrs running.

Let's look at this a different way.
Siena is 21st in the nation at drawing fouls.
Saints shoot 25.2 FTs per game, (a close 2nd in the MAAC to Manhattan.) Opponents shoot 27.2 FTs per game.
So Siena is allowing its opponents to shoot 2 more FTs per game. (clearly those technicals put us over the top)
To put that in perspective in MAAC play.
The average non-Siena MAAC team shoots 20.8 FTs per game.
If Siena put teams on the line at the league average...the defense would allow 6.4 less FTAs per game.
At 74.3% shooting...that's 4.78 ppg allowed to opponents over the reasonable average...just cause of excessive fouls.
Siena scores 70.4 & Gives up 75.0
Siena's Current Point Differential = 4.6 PPG
If they behaved normally on defense they could have a positive point differential right now.
