Jimmy will get his third year . . . after that the jury is out . . . Siena needs a better then decent basketball program to fill the classrooms . . . after each NCAA appearance applications went up from the previous year . . . administration will take the necessary steps . . . NOTE: Siena did not fill its' freshman class this year - a byproduct of the Mitch era Siena needs to continue their infrastructure improvements and eventually things will work out with the coaching staff - one way or the other.

Siena not filling its freshman class could be the key or the curse. The admins will either double down on hoop to recover or cut back on everything. That's a disturbing problem. Just wait until the student loan bubble bursts.

Just wait until the student loan bubble bursts. When it does burst it will be great for the consumer/student, not so good for Siena.

Just wait until the student loan bubble bursts. I think they'll double down--I really believe the alums will insist on that, and keeping alums happy is paramount for all college. Is there a real coach among the staff (including JP)? Tough to recognize that at this point.

One thing that frustrates me is the loss of Wolfe.
My eyes tell me that Wolfe last year looked better on the floor than Willem has this year. Yet Wolfe was going to redshirt this year?
I'm too lazy to look at the numbers, but I feel like Wolfe would have helped us more this year than Willem. I think it's a shame how that was handled/worked out.
I've always pulled for White to get more minutes and play through mistakes, but after last night, I'm coming around to the idea that he really is a spot player. This is disappointing to me. I expected more.

Is there a real coach among the staff (including JP)? Tough to recognize that at this point. The question regarding the staff is a great concern. I'm not sure what Lucious and Luke do during the games. I never really see them yelling or talking much. Jimmy will often times yellbin Luke's face to coach up a kid that sat next to him but he seems to just give a half assed "you're ok" and pat their leg. Lucious is awful. He never does anything at all and Jimmy doesn't even really direct anything towards him so to me it seems he's given up on him, next. Greg is clearly Jimmys x & o guy who takes the clip board during timeouts and when Jimmy is doing some usless talk to the crowd or the bench Greg Is trying to yell out okay calls and "coach." I understand that Garrett is dealing with personal matters to our understanding but we're down a staff member compared to every team that we play against now. Maybe Garretts job of cutting film has been left out and the team doesn't even watch game tape anymore, after last night it's a possibility.

I'm not sure JO improved so much as got healthy and is getting more opportunity (and I'm the biggest local player homer here). And, yes, I agreed the staff needs a shake up, for 2 reasons, not just recruiting. But Jimmy has to let the staff do their job, too. We all know Mitch didn't. Gotcha now you want to pick and choose who improved to fit your agenda Oh, yes, quite the agenda, Lmao. Javion was the starting center last year, before his injury. He is playing more and scoring more this year, his rebounds per minute are about the same, his blocks per minute are down. If you consider that "among the most improved in the MAAC", I'd say it's obvious who has an agenda.

Quick simple fix. Get a NY/LI/NJ up and coming recruiter OR a high level high school basketball coach who has connections who wants to start his career in D1 coaching as an assistant. The base of teams in this part of NY has to be NY/LI/NJ, not Baltimore. Too many programs in that vicinity on the similar level as MAAC skills that take away the possible "steals" Patsos probably thinks he can get. If Patsos does take this advice, I am going to send an email to this boards moderators. Please forward my paypal account info to the powers at be, I only request a relatively moderate consulting fee.

Dude give it up JO shot 31% from the floor, 42% from free throw line, 1.9 PPG,1.8 RPG and blocked .7 blocks, compared to this years 55% from the floor, 54% from free throw line, 8.2 PPG,4.1 RPG and blocked 1.2 blocks Only in your world are those numbers the same, and if I used the last month's numbers the jump would be even better-

Hate to throw in the F word but Fran did a great job, IMHO, of designing plays for certain players to take advantage of their skill set. They might run it once, twice or even three times in a game and sometimes saved them for the second half. We don't seem to vary anything other than who is on the floor and the "offense" seems geared at hoping someone gets open and either Marquis sees him or he already has the ball. Our guys can't create their own shots and certainly not in an offense that is so damn repetitive and easy on the defense. We hide nothing (actually, we don't have much to hide) on offense or defense. Screens, if and when they are set, aren't effectively used - can't recall the last time I saw a defender stripped off by an effective screen - probably have to go back to games where Brett was playing at 100%.

The half court offense stinks and is awkward to watch. Wright is great in transition, below average in the half court. Poole and Hymes are the only threats from 3. Next year wont be pretty.

Is motion or 2? I forget the offense and the coach, the lines are getting blurred.
