It’s not Rob Poole per say- it’s the team, we are slow and can’t shoot going into 2nd year with Jimmy, we still get 3 foul calls a half where the defensive player puts two hands on offensive player when he has ball… automatic foul call… Jimmy automatic foul call. How many times we going to do it?? How many times we going to see this slow footed team get beat on the press… when you press you don’t have to go for steal every time, sometimes it can just be a harassing press, mix in the full all out press, we give up way too many lay ups. This team just isn’t that talented, across the board .. its more than not playing hard..face it folks we just aren’t that good, not going to single out kids, but we need more talent, better shooters and athletes. Jimmy is going to be here a while, the staff needs a shake up—we need to recruit in more than the Baltimore pool, sorry folks it isn’t getting it done Siena has been down for five years. When does the finger get pointed at the individual making the hires?

Just an awful game...glad I watched on TV. Horrible gameplan. We were really never in the game. Really missed Brett but he isn't coming back for two months if we are lucky. We got outplayed and out-coached. Team is in a funk and UA owns us as painful as it is. We overachieved last year and right now are underachieving. That said we aren't athletic (Saintsfan called it). We need more talent. I love Rob Poole but if your senior captain isn't going to show up you're going to struggle. You can't keep losing to AE teams even the decent ones. Jimmy is now 1-4 against the AE. Last year give him a pass. Not so this year. Eventually he is going to feel Siena fans wrath. Patience is running VERY thin. On to Radford. Siena needs to decide what kinda of team they want to have. I was looking for you? 10278. What a crock. Lucky if there was 9000.

papi not sure about the lack of athleticism. Listening to Hunter and Andy G they would tend to disagree and they should know. Can't make excuses for the team. Some bad luck but it's the mental aspect that has me concerned. They are all better players than they are showing just dumb mental mistakes.
Question is why Siena could not recruit Singletary. Seems the way JP spoke Siena would have had the inside track.
With current roster he, JP need to turn the kids loose. Believe Siena be better off especially in light of no bigs. Follow the last 8 minutes of last nights game, closer game perhaps different out come if he had done so 10 minutes in. Finally Siena loosing to lower level teams is coaching staff letting them look to far ahead. Take 1 tame at a time.

All this stuff you guys write is drivel. We were outcoached. Our team -- while not as talented as we would like to think -- was out of position half the night. Brown had our full court press scouted and, after they scored five or six layups, you would think we might change our defense. No. Patsos says our team lacks "resolve?" Maybe the game plan sucked from the start. He want our team to be "intense," and he has them running helter-skelter to prove to him they are hustling. Give me a break. This guy was a .500 coach at Loyola and looks like he will be here too. The team might hot have lose\t that game without a lot of bad coaching. Someone should yank him as fast as he yanks his players!

Long was terrible and how can your starting point guard be your leading rebounder with 9 and Evan be next with 3? JO and Willem didn't show up on the boards again. Second game in a row this has happened. Alot of long rebounds. The smallest guys on the floor were not grabbing boards amonst the trees Please,, most of the rebounds Wright got were withing 5' of the hoop. The kid can jump, give him credit when credit is due!

I agree time to move on. It was a horrible loss (third one of those in 8 games along with Vermont and Fordham) but there's nothing to do but hope the team learns from it and gets ready for the next three games (Radford, Cornell, Bucknell) leading into conference play. As badly as Siena played you have to tip you hat to Will Brown. They clearly wanted the game more and while UA isn't all that good of a team they do have experienced guys who know how to win big games. Not making excuses but we started three sophomores and a freshmen.
I think it is time to start Cole again and bring either Willem or JO off the bench (probably WB).
Jimmy did a great job last year of hiding our weaknesses. Somehow he has to figure it out again this year if we are going to have a winning season. I believe it can be done though.

UA has 9 new players... That didn't factor into your equation. As for not being good, they played a few good games then lost their confidence. Talentwise it's a more talented roster then Siena.

The kid can jump, give him credit when credit is due! Yes he can jump and goes after it.... but the big bodies are boxing out inside and it is the guards job to grab what pops out. Wright and Hymes are exceptional at that no doubt. You wont see them boxing out a post player and getting a rebound over them is my point.
