One thing that concerns me is so far the team plays better on the road than at home. 1 game is not a legit sample.

Interesting stat: bytimreynolds: Siena has had assists on 36 of its last 43 field goals. Ridiculous. That is pretty fantastic but also a reflection of how much this team struggles to create their own shots.

If the game is played properly, you shouldn't have to create your own shot.

That is pretty fantastic but also a reflection of how much this team struggles to create their own shots. Poole is taking good care of the ball this year again. Lavon had 5 assists last night. Oliver is playing more. And Wright is Wright. If Long keeps a positive assist ratio....and is playing largely at the 4....it TOTALLY changes our tendencies to turn it over. Wright, Poole, Oliver, Long, Bisping, JO, Hymes....that's not a turnover prone bunch for those positions. Lavon is the key though. If he stays under control we're fighting for the league lead in assist ratio with Iona. If that happens AND we regain control of yesterday's rebounding fiasco...Saints should be taking a lot more shots than the opposition. That's a good thing.

Saints had 21 assists vs. just 5 turnovers. #KK'sKeyStatOfTheGame However, they did get outrebounded by 20. Let's not do that anymore. I'm actually ok with the team being out rebounded if/when we win the game(s) anyway. Otherwise I'd tend to agree with your statement. Winning changes my perspective on things.

Siena scored plenty enough in that game despite playing horrible- ask yourself why Siena stayed in man to man defense the entire game- why no help defense down low.

I'm with you on it being baffling that we didn't play zone defense, not sure what the whole story was. If you take away the 34 of 38 from the line it was a really ugly performance on both the offensive and defensive end.
