Holy sh#$ did we need this. Now I'm happy about this 10 day break. It'll give the coaching staff a lot of time to work on a lot of our problems. And get everyone healthy!

Saints had 21 assists vs. just 5 turnovers. #KK'sKeyStatOfTheGame However, they did get outrebounded by 20. Let's not do that anymore.

Stay grounded folks. Bonaventure picked 10th in the A10.
Like I said... Bonaventure style very different from Vermont. Siena will be fine against most of this schedule

Siena will be fine against most of this schedule I am grounded - the team has potential but a long ways to get there. Just glad to get the first win out of the way before a 10 day break. I had us at 1-2 so the team is exactly where I thought they would be. Of course not in the order I thought it would come at. Siena never wins in Olean so it's a good win and a tough rivalry game. You know it burns the Bonnies fans to lose to Siena. To win (and really be comfortably in control much of the game) after a short turnaround and long bus ride off a hideous loss to Vermont at home is very encouraging to see. Let's hope the team can work on some things, get healthier and get on a roll after Thanksgiving!

Interesting stat: bytimreynolds: Siena has had assists on 36 of its last 43 field goals. Ridiculous.

If Bona was picked 10th in their league pre-season then this was a "should win" situation. The fact that we did isn't all that impressive. I'll take the W but this is nothing to write home about. UMass is probably better than I've given the credit for and maybe UVM is too. That said we should be playing better. I think we really miss a health Brett.

I don't get this board at all. Everyone is sunshine and smiles before the season and they lose two games and now everyone is off the bandwagon again. I remember posting that they were not guaranteed to start out strong after last year's strong finish and everyone jumped all over me. Fact is they've basically been playing without their second best player from last year at full strength, I think he still needs to catch his feet under himself.
St Bonaventure was picked 10th in the A-10 but siena dominated the game all around and won by much more than the final score showed.

One thing that concerns me is so far the team plays better on the road than at home.

One thing that concerns me is so far the team plays better on the road than at home. i still think its a bad comparison. Trust me, Vermont is just a bad matchup for this team, especially as young as it is. Lets see how it goes as move forward. Siena faces no one similar and the only other really annoying style will be St Peters.

Interesting stat: bytimreynolds: Siena has had assists on 36 of its last 43 field goals. Ridiculous. Siena is now averaging 18.7 assists vs just 12.7 TOs Marquis has 20 assists already...just 6 TOs. 3.33 to 1 assist ratio. He's gonna run away with the MAAC assist title again. English and Chandler may be his only competition but I don't think they'll be close. The emergence of Oliver could put him over 200 this year. Only Bisping, Cole, and Paige have negative assist ratios so far.

Otherwise, Siena used a 2-3 zone to limit St. Bonaventure to 38.7 percent shooting and held Ndoye to four points.
"It's my fault we haven't been playing it more," Patsos said. "I think we're going to be a zone team this year. I think we were a good zone team last year."
Ya don't say.... Jimmy needs cliff notes so he remembers these things. Now just remember the high post and we're good again.
Bisping got the ball in the high post once last night...he passed to Wright for a cutting layup ala last year.
