I posted this oin the MAAC board as well. It's a great story and the direction that we need to go as a nation. This woman is awesome. Although the hosts keep trying deflect and to make it about race, she continues to reflect MLK's vision of 'content of character' vs the color of her skin. She was elected in a heavily white district because of her ideas and integrity! This is the post racial America that we really need to strive for. Like the commentary says, wonder if Obama called her. Still a long way to go on both sides, but its this type of leader that will get us there quicker. www.cnn.com/2014/11/05/opinion/granderson-mia-love-victory |
