Also, PPC said "top 5 finish" meaning "1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th in the regular season" to secure a bye. Obviously, Option A (undefeated season with MAAC championship) is the ultimate goal. But, is there anyone on this message board who would pick Option C (1st place regular season and loss in the MAAC tournament) over option Option B (3rd place regular season, MAAC championship and NCAA tourney)? A 3rd place finish may be the result of games where Jimmy sits Cole for jacking up bad 3's, sits Long for stupid fouls, or sits Wright for lazy passes. And while some of his most developed players are pondering their mistakes on the bench, Jimmy gives real minutes to players like Paige and WB to help them develop so the program doesn't regress when Long and Wright graduate. This season, the difference between 1st and 3rd might come down to only a few tough losses that turn out to be pivotal teaching moments that will lead to many more important wins in the long term. Option B is a sign of a coach developing a great program. Option A is a pipe dream. PCC, you really need to "like" this post because I mention player development 4 times I'm pretty sure that the Saints will never lose a game again.

Big Apple: "Way to early all-MAAC teams, awards" www.nycbuckets.com/2014/07/way-early-maac-teams-awards/Brett made 1st team. Hopefully, Poole, Wright & Long use this as motivation to make some post season teams. I'd like to see a Siena player (or two) make Big Apple's breakout MAAC team.

Hard to take those predictions seriously when they don't have Poole on a team. At worst he's a second team preseason all-MAAC selection.

Bisping is more likely to win best 6th man than 1st team.

The 1st & 2nd teams selected seem more than fair, and you can only have 10 guys. Khalid Hart put up similar numbers to Poole and he's not on a team, either. (FWIW, no Sophomores made either team). I think that Shane Richards is going to have a nice year for Manhattan. Seems like a very strong player who stuck to a simple role as sniper for the past two seasons on a loaded Jaspers team, and now will be asked to do much more.

What Bisping has done thru his sophomore year is comparable to both RyRo and OD yet most think they were lightyears ahead of him. In the beginning of OD's sophomore year, he almost lost his starting spot to Martens and averaged 8.9 & 6.8 in more mpg than Bisping played last year. If Bisping takes a similar leap to what they did in their junior years, that's POY numbers. I'm not saying that's gonna happen but it's about time people stopped selling this kid short. He may be our leading scorer this year.

I just don't see him making the jump to 1st team all MAAC so put those chances well behind the chances he doesn't start.

Not inconceivable that Wright/Cole/Poole/Long/Silas start and Bisping is off the bench in two minutes and still getting close to 30 minutes a game. As long as Silas or JO start that puts whoever comes off the bench for Siena in good position for 6th man.

It's almost a certainty that Silas has lost his starting job (he had already lost it by the end of last season). The only question is who will replace him.

That way you have all the non-shooters in at the same time coach. 1st team to 40 wins.
