Oh man, now the EPA has lost emails?!?!?
MP - c'mon, you have to admit at this point that this administration has not only shattered the "most transparent admin ever" image but is outright hiding stuff. There are way too many coincidental accidental losses of critical data.

MP - they admitted wrong-doing. It was illegal - they gave confidential info to political opponents. They also didn't fairly apply the rules. Worse THEY ARE STILL DOING IT. It may have been a lower-level/mid-level manager trying to make a name for themselves but if that's the case, why is LL's email lost? Seems like there were several higher ups minimally in the know if not directing the attacks on conservative groups. As you probably know, management that knowingly allows a behavior is considered to be actively liable. Glen, Can you give some specifics (i.e., references) to the points you make in this post's first paragraph please? I was able to find this info re Carl Levin's totally appropriate (Congress does have oversight responsibilities and he chairs the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations which investigates federal fraud and abuse among other duties) actions re the rise in the number of "organizations" filing for tax exempt status. The site quotes the charges made by the right and then includes what actually was said/directed by Senator Levin. What is the basis for the "THEY ARE STILL DOING IT" statement? What is the "IT"? Thanks. |

Those of you that can't seem to see Issa's actions as totally political should flash back to his IT expertise during the Bush years when he blamed the loss of 22 million emails (re the Valerie Plame scandal) on IBM software! crooksandliars.com/2014/06/issa-blamed-ibm-software-loss-22-millionOh wait, Bush was a Republican and Obama is a Democrat and Issa is a Republican - now it all makes sense doesn't it!  I wonder what the conspiracy theorists' threshold for lost emails is? Seems like it would be: Your party in power - never happy but 22 million would be a good point to take a look Their party in power - any number greater than zero (i.e., ONE) law is explicit 'All emails, etc., must be preserved' |
