WOW! Did this surprise you? The Republicans are desperate for an issue to help them raise campaign contributions. Obamacare has dropped off everyone's radar as people actually get into and comprehend the program without having to rely on FOX news BS about it. It's a shame that they have no shame, using dead Americans as a catalyst for folks to dig into their wallets. The $'s raised per death stat should be huge.

I think the word you are having trouble with is "you're" - an education is a terrible thing to waste and you're showing evidence that your's was a waste of time! Which point did I make that got your undies in a tangle? 'All of them" is an acceptable answer. Yours very truly, The MissPractice - a mental challenge for all conservatives, especially tea drinkers!!!!

Do you ever get "healthy" headaches? Just curious! Maybe Tony should institute a health warning for threads started by th24 as he monitors FOX News 24/7 to allow him to enter the fray. Some day, I hope he has an original thought and then the language skills to express it. It may happen in our lifetime but then..............

Gowdy is emerging as a real political star!
MP - you are incorrect about Reps efforts to raise $ and the priority of Obamacare. That fact that you can't see how wrong you are about O'care shows the depth of your immersion in the liberal self insulated world....

Sorry to disillusion you but if you would have listened to the main stream media this week you would find my statements to be totally true. Boner Boehner was asked about the fund raising emails and dodged answering what was obviously a very embarrassing question. You should balance your news sources so you can at least appear to be semi-well informed. Your total immersion, some would call it Baptism, in the Kool-Aid of today's "Republican" conservative Tea Party crap is quite evident and doesn't serve you well, IMHO. www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/newest-benghazi-controversy-political-fundraising-n100456articles.latimes.com/2014/mar/20/news/la-pn-younger-americans-obamacare-latinos-20140320Unlike CellarRat and th24, I can back up my points. Bottom line - improve Obamacare is now the view of the people, not do away with it in its entirety!

Unlike you I'm an not an old fool with unlimited time to spend on the internet. My time is quite limited. I have fun like this between innings. I don't need much time to correct you uniformed one-source experts. Yankees-Mets tied at 4.

MP - do you realize that Fox ratings alone are equal to 3-5 of the cable & broadcast networks combined? They may be more numerous but we may need to rethink calling 'them' the mainstream media... Unlike most folks who follow the (ahem) news on the CNN/NBC/MSNBC, etc. when I see a piece or position that is wrong (IMO) on Fox, etc I am willing to call them out on it. MP - do you ever question the sources you quote and people/organizations you find yourself aligned with? I do and with critical examination sometimes they don't pass the smell nor logic test. Can you say the same? Based on what I've seen the republicans are raising a ton of money. So all I can think of is that JB didn't have the numbers and/or goals or just plain and simply didn't want to wade into those waters while trying to talk about life and death issues. Not that it is relevant to this discussion but IMO there is WAY too much money in politics....

Not that it is relevant to this discussion but IMO there is WAY too much money in politics.... Several things going on here. The "mainstream" networks (CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS) offer the news in the historic 630PM-730PM hour in 30 minutes "shows" depending on the local affiliate's local news schedule. The big three also cover the news during their morning shows interlaced with other special interest or entertainment segments. CNN, MSNBC and FOX are 24/7 networks focused on "news" in various "shows" of differing lengths. Comparing the ratings of the 30 minute evening news programs with the 24/7 networks is an example of comparing apples to oranges. As to the ratings as they pertain to the 24/7 networks, it is not at all surprising that FOX's ratings are the highest, IMO. Since their "message" is very effectively woven into just about every story they report and those that don't pass their "smell" test don't get air. Most FOX viewers have FOX as their ONLY source of news on a regular basis. I doubt many look to the other networks at all. People like to hear stuff that backs up their personal views and when you can get that same stuff 24/7 they do - they likely have Limbaugh and Hannity on in their car radios as well. As to your inquiry as to whether I question the news sources I watch - simple answer, of course I do. My typical weekday - Channel 6 local from 500AM until ~600AM, CNN from ~600AM on until heading to the Y at 800AM, CNN at various times during the day to get quick snipets - the TV is not on during all of that time span, Channell 6 local news from 530PM-630PM, NBC Nightly News at 630PM, and the CBS Evening News at 7PM. If there is a major news event or no good seasonal game on I do watch CNN's evening shows depending on what the subject is. In summary, yes, I do "test" the news I see/hear on a continuing basis. (Channel 6 does include replays of FOX stories so I do see their "take" more than you would think!). The Sunday Morning news shows on ABC, CBS and CNN are also watched on a regular basis - not so easy during the summer as we camp on Lake George each weekend and I'm thankfully insulated from any news during those times. CNN's Reliable Sources on Sunday morning covers how the news is reported by the various networks.
